Chapter 9
As she reached Bette, Tina whispered ”I only feel like one when you’re looking at me.” Her breath warm against Bette’s neck. The intensity of the moment was palpable, a silent symphony of unspoken promises and unbridled passion that seemed to hold the very air captive.
Bette’s eyes widened, and she felt a shiver run down her spine as Tina’s fingertips started tracing the contours of her bare shoulders. The towel fell away, revealing the soft curves of her body, still glistening from the shower. Tina stepped closer, her eyes never leaving Bette’s, as if the two of them were the only inhabitants of the vast continent outside their window.
”You’re so beautiful,” Tina murmured, her voice barely a whisper. She leaned in, her breath hot on Bette’s skin, and placed a gentle kiss just below her earlobe. Bette’s knees went weak, and she leaned into Tina’s embrace, feeling the warmth of her body through the thin fabric of the shirt.
With a graceful tug, Tina loosened her bun, letting her hair cascade down her back before letting her fingers skim over Bette’s shoulder, gliding slowly down the length of her arm, her touch light but lingering, like she was savouring the feel of her. When her hand reached Bette’s, she let her fingers slip between hers, holding on with quiet intent.
”Let’s make this moment ours, for now. Forget about everything today.” Tina said, her eyes burning with desire. She led Bette to the bed, the teak frame creaking slightly beneath their weight as they sat on the edge.
The mosquito net around the bed billowed softly, casting intricate patterns of shadow and light across their faces. Tina took Bette’s hand, her thumb circling the delicate skin of her palm. ”I want to explore every inch of you,” she whispered, her hazel eyes darkening with passion. Bette nodded, her breath catching in her throat as Tina’s free hand resumed tracing lines upon her chest, the touch feather-light and maddening in its gentleness.
Tina leaned in, her lips finding Bette’s with a hunger that left no space for hesitation. The kiss deepened, slow at first, then urgent, each movement a rediscovery, as though mapping familiar ground that still managed to surprise.
Bette’s arms slipped around Tina’s waist, pulling her closer until their bodies were pressed together, the fabric of Tina’s shirt the only barrier between them. The sound of their hearts pounding in unison seemed to fill the room but it echoed only in their minds, a rhythm that seemed to sync with the pulse of the earth beneath them.

Guess they’re gonna be just fine huh? Great job as always. I still really want to know what it is about Nyah that troubles Bette so much and how they’ll all deal with the bad guys. In the meantime am gonna go back to reading the rest of your awesome work.
I really enjoy your writing and I’m looking forward to the rest of this tale!
