Chapter 9
“It’s OK Bette. You can fall apart all you want. I’ll always be here to hold you together.”
“Promise?”
“I promise.”
“You’re a good friend Shaney.”
“Thanks. Hey listen it’s getting late and I’m sure you’re exhausted. Why don’t you go on in? I’ll see you in the morning OK?”
“Come over for breakfast and bring your portfolio. I want to see those photos.”
“Will you make my favorite?”
“A stack of heart shaped pancakes?”
“Yeah with fresh strawberries. Kit did the grocery shopping so you have everything.”
“You got it.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too. Come by around 9:30am.”
“I’ll be here. Good night Bette.”
“Good night Shane.”
Bette and Shane hug each other then walk into their respective homes. Kit and Angus had fallen asleep by the time Bette went inside but she was appreciative knowing they were in the room next door. She’d dreaded coming home to an empty house. She was grateful for Shane, Kit and Angus for being so considerate but unfortunately it was something that she now had to get used to.

After their first night together Tina realized how unfair she’d been to Henry. He’d told her that he didn’t want to be used as her “fuck toy” and that is exactly what she’d done. She’d reduced him to a human penis not giving any thought or consideration to the feelings of the man it was attached to. She wanted the sex act to be as uniquely male as possible which is why she hadn’t allowed any oral sex. She simply wanted to ride the penis to see if it would validate or refute her “feelings” for men. What she concluded was that whatever she’s experiencing was not entirely about sex. Regardless of her sex partner’s gender her body was responsive. The difference in the level of ecstasy was the emotional connection. She was fucking Henry physically but her emotions were still wrapped up in Bette Porter.
The battle between heart and mind was raging and her emotions were running wild. No matter that her words said she wasn’t in love anymore her acts proved that her heart was not in agreement. Removing any trace of Henry from her bed and spraying perfume on the pillow to preserve Bette’s essence was proof of that. Had she waited for Bette’s return their hearts would have found each other again and their destiny would have been fulfilled. It was evident that she was still in love with her wife and their connection could be recaptured. However, when she found herself at a crossroads she went against providence by taking the path that led to Hetero-Ville and Henry Young.

Hi Bat, it is happening, Tina’s moved to hetero-Ville, and she feels fine (or safe), she has the acceptance of her new acquaintances, Henry’s friends and family, she is no longer the failure that she felt she was when she was with Bette and for now things are fine; but how long it will last? I don’t think her issues are gone, let see what would happen. Thank so much for this post I like this chapter and I want very much to know what follows; I will miss the story those four days and pps.
So sad, Tina throwing away everything
