They both smiled at her and then wended their way back to the table.
Rian unhooked the straps of her heels and eased them off of her feet when they sat.
Jade chuckled as Rian started to massage her feet.
Fabienne hadn’t sat down yet. She was leaning on her chair, and then ended the call and turned to Jade. “Babe, I have to go see about an emergency in the hotel in Battery Park. Dad says mom isn’t feeling well, and he took her home, so he can’t go…”
Jade nodded and started to stand, “Of course. We can go. C’mon.”
Fabienne shook her head, “No … no. You can stay. They haven’t gotten to the speeches yet, and it’ll look odd if this table is half-empty. Besides, one of the brides is your professor/mentor, so … you should stay.”
She walked over to where Rian was sitting, and whose leg was half-propped on Dan’s vacated chair. Fabienne unexpectedly leaned over, and bussed both of Rian’s cheeks in turn. She told the surprised brunette, “I have to go. Emergency in one of our hotels. I hope we see you tomorrow …”
Rian nodded slowly, still taken aback by Fabienne’s friendly gesture.
The blonde gave Jade a long kiss and then turned to leave.
They both looked at the retreating figure in silence, and then looked at each other.
Jade half-stood and half-walked to take Dan’s vacated seat, gently cradling Rian’s leg on her lap as she did. She resumed the foot massage Rian was giving herself with a half-smile.
“This has been a strange evening,” she said bemusedly. “I left the condo several hours ago, grumbling about wearing this tux, and then seeing you, and then now being left here with you.”
“You complainin’?” Rian asked, smiling.
“No …no … no, ma’am, I sure am not,” Jade answered quickly, but still shaking her head.
An hour later, after all the speeches were done, and both bouquets had been tossed, the band started another round of danceable songs.
Jade had massaged both of her feet and Rian was itching to dance again. She and the others around the table had polished off a bottle of champagne during the toasts and other things and she felt a buzz grow.

Loving this story and the new ppl.JADE is trying to grow but keeps falling for girls that are somewhat controlling.RIAN is like a puzzle some parts are hard to place.WHAT are they hoping to avoid?A relationship is gonna happen when and where is the problem.RIAN/JADE you two are in lust/love NOT trouble.thanks

Jade and Rian, they would be a beautiful couple just like B&T . It is for sure they will be together, but i have the feeling that it will take longer than we hope it will.
