Chapter9.
I went back over to my room to finish getting ready, stopping at my door for a moment.
Just as long as A. youre not watching it when Amelia comes round and B. I don’t come home and find you doing anything which would mentally scar me for life. I said, disappearing into my room before I could hear the more than likely, distasteful reply.
I was stumped as what to wear, I didn’t want to appear like I tried to dress up, but then again I didn’t want to look like a tramp either. Plus, Amelia said I was meeting her friends, which I took a wild guess in thinking that they were *****. And no doubt Amelia would have told them about me; the homophobic straight girl who flipped out at the first sign of any physical contact. But just to be confusing was actually going to admit, not only to herself but maybe to Amelia that yes, she was kind of slightly, a tad, maybe attracted to women.
I decided jeans were a pretty safe option for any occasion, dark jeans so they didn’t look too informal. I didn’t exactly want to make too much of an impression and stick out like a sore thumb or anything. But then again I didn’t want Amelia to think I hadn’t tried. Ah! I hated my head, I needed more alcohol.
Ok, youve been half dressed for about an hour now Trix and Im starting to think it looks vaguely normal, so please can you put a bloody top on!
I was on my third beer and still couldn’t decide what to wear and was finding it increasingly difficult as I got more and more drunk.
I knelt down on the floor in front of Lizzie and hugged her legs, mumbling incoherently into her trousers.
Ok if youre dribbling all over me, Im going to be mad Trix. she said, pushing me away with a displeased look on her face.
I need your help Liz, what shall I wear I’ve only got half an hour to decide. I whined, pushing myself up off her knees.
Ok, ok Ill find you something. she muttered, getting up and slipping an arm over my shoulders.
