“He told me the engagement was off until I figured out what I wanted”

He sighs and sits down beside me “So you talked to him obviously”

I nod “Ben..I went to find Bette last night.  I couldn’t stand the way we left things…..Well the way I left things.  I just stormed out on her.  I was so angry that she picked that moment of all places to tell me she was in love with me.  I didn’t even know what to say so I got angry and left…She didn’t answer my calls or my texts and I texted Laura who said they were at Mason’s”. I paused and sighed remembering seeing how drunk Bette was and I still feel guilty she got that way because of me

“So what happened” Ben asked wanting me to continue

“So Nathan saw how upset I was because I had told him we had a spat and he said it was ok if I went to see her.  Well when I got there she was totally out of it.  She said I was beautiful and put her hand on my cheek..”

“Awwww” Ben cooed

I glared at him “Shut up” I tease and smile shyly.  I can’t lie and say I didn’t enjoy her saying that to me or the way she looked at me

“So anyway…I wanted to take her home..I knew Laura was capable but I wanted to be the one to make sure she got home and was ok…..But Ben…..Something clicked or snapped in me or whatever you want to call it but when I took her dress off I couldn’t help but stare at her body”

He chuckles at me “Well I’m gay but she does have an amazing body.  She’s as tone as I have ever seen her”

I sigh dreamily and Ben notices

“And I take it this awoken feelings you chose to ignore about Bette”

I shake my head “No..I mean that’s part of it but at that moment I was physically attracted to her body.  A woman’s body.  Not thinking that body belonged to Bette my best friend.  But I was taking her body in and I loved what I saw.  Then I realized it was Bette, my best friend, and I was feeling like I was so lucky to have her.  Then the sly bitch caught me staring at her and even in her drunken state asked me……You like what you see…..” I mock the way she said it and Ben laughs
