JBurHOT – I mentioned Bette going to get her shots in an earlier chapter but didn’t actually write about her going. Kinda have a thing with doctors so to be honest, avoided writing that little bit. Sorry for the confusion and hope this helps? =)

For the first time since she could remember Shane was unsure of herself. The world became a mirage of colours, beauty became apparent in unexpected places and it was as though she was seeing the world through different eyes. There was a warmth that surrounded her and engulfed her and she found herself addicted. She didn’t know what exactly was going on, but whatever it was it was something that excited and thrilled her, confused and counfounded her and she had decided to leave herself in the hands of fate. She was holding the hand of the woman she hoped she hoped would be on that journey with her.

The feeling of the hand intertwined with hers was something that felt so natural yet so strange. She found herself intrigued and mystified, it was as though there was a magnetic force that pulled her towards the woman next to her. Tori had never found herself attracted to women and had never intertained the thought of being with one…. but then again she thought Tina was the same and now she had found the love of her life, Bette. She smiled to herself as she remembered what people used to say about her and Tina, it was always the same….

‘You two would make such a great couple, you’re already practically married’

She was now in the hands of fate, and for once in her life she decided not to fight it. She would let life take her where it wanted to, and she couldn’t help but intertain the thought that wherever she wanted to go she wanted Shane to be there with her…. in whatever way she could get her.

Bette had decided to take Tina’s advice and drew herself a hot bubble bath, she lay back in the tub and thought about how lucky she was to have Tina in her life. She completed her in a way she didn’t think was possible, her life was richer and more wonderful than she could imagine. She couldn’t help but think that with every day that passed she learned something new about Tina, every day brought a new suprise and wonder.

Tina never thought she would find true love, truth be told at one point she could even be called jaded, but she had indeed found love. As she stood in the doorway taking in the sight of Bette, she couldn’t help but think she had everything she had ever wanted or needed. Her dreams had been fulfilled and her life completed, at least she hoped that would be the case after her little suprise.

“Babe…. would you mind some company or is this a solo thing?” Tina said smiling

Bette was startled to her a voice at the door but a smile soon graced her features when she realised it was Tina.

“T baby, it would make this even more heavenly if you would join me”

Tina immediatly divested herself of her clothing and joined Bette in the bath, releasing all the tension built up in her body. There were so many things that could go wrong today but all that mattered was that she was here with Bette, in her arms and at that moment nothing else mattered.

“So T, what do we have on the menu for today?”

“Well I thought we could spend the afternoon together…. and I’ve made sure there will be absolutly NO interuptions…. and then the gang would come round to dinner. What you think?”

“Sounds good to me…. mmmm no interuptions T, I wonder what you have planned”

“Well, why don’t I just show you?” she purred seductivly as she wrapped her hand around Bette’s neck and pulled her in for a passionate kiss…. and thus began an afternoon with both women lost in the embrace, scent, feel and touch of the other.

Tori found herself haunted by the kiss she had shared with Shane, since then they had held hands and been contented with fleeting touches and glances. She couldn’t help but feel that she wanted more, she had spent almost all of her time with Shane since that night at Milk and had slept better in her arms than she had in longer than she cared to remember. It was as this thought was leaving her mind that she looked over and saw the same far off look in Shane’s eyes as she looked her. Without any words or pre-text she simply got up and walked over to Shane, sitting in her lap and placing her arms around her neck.

Little did Shane know that the same thoughts that were running in and out of her head, were doing the same in Tori’s. She was lost in these thoughts when she felt the woman she desired sitting in her lap and wrapping her arms around her neck. She wasn’t sure what was happening but she had Tori in her arms and for now she was happy. She wrapped her arms around Tori’s waist and placed her head on her shoulder, content to just sit there and bask in the warmth that Tori emminated. It was then that she felt Tori lift her head up and looked into her eyes, Shane knew that look but couldn’t dare let herself believe her eyes. Ever so slowly Tori bent her head towards Shane, gently touching her lips with her own. She forgot how good Shane tasted…. she took her bottom lip in her mouth and gently sucked on it, demanding entry which Shane readily granted. The passion of the kiss steadily increased until both women were out of breath.

“Mmmm, I forgot how good you tasted”

“So I taste good do I?” Shane said with a satisfied smile on her face

“Oh god, did I say that out loud?”

“Yip, and now you can’t take it back”

“Well we’ll just see about that” Tori said as she began to tickle Shane relentlessly.

“Hey no fair” Shane said as she began to get her own back.

Before you know it, both women are rolling around the floor engrossed in a tickling fight and stealing kisses from each other. They were so involved in their little game that they didn’t hear the knock on the door.

“Hey you two, open the fricking door will ya?”

“Oh *****…. sorry Al, hold on a second”

“Hey guys, what’s up?” Shane said as she opened the door

“You can’t be serious guys, we gotta get the stuff and go fetch Bette and Tina!”

“Right, well I’ll just go get the stuff and we can be off” Tori said, blushing a little

“Bette, baby it’s almost time…. we gotta get ready”

“T can’t I just stay in bed a little longer?”

“Nope no can do, now we gotta dress comfy ok? I got a suprise for ya but you gotta trust me?”

“A suprise, well why didn’t you say so?” Bette said as she quickly got out of bed and made her way to the bathroom

“What is it T?”

“I can’t tell ya, but we’ve got to pack any toiletries and stuff that we may need ok? Oh and also something warm as it might get a little chilly”

“Umm, T what are you planning?”

“Just trust me ok”

“Ok T, how about you just pack what we’ll need?”

“Ok, no worries babe”

Just as Bette and Tina finished showering and packing, the girls knocked on the door…. right on time and proud of it

“Ok Bette, the girls are here…. now let’s just put this on you and we can be off” Tina said as she brought a blindfold out of her pocket

“Oh no T, I love you but you can’t be serious?”

“Deadly, now lets put this on”

“Very well, but next time we use strictly in the bedroom sense?”

“Ok promise”

Tina had blindfolded Bette and made her way out to the girls, they were all so excited about what they were doing that there were smiles all round…. except for Bette who was starting to worry about Tina’s little suprise.

At the Airport:-

“T, are we at an airport…. what are doing at an airport?”

“Just a little longer Bette, I promise”

Once they were checked in, Tina took the blindfold off and Bette opened her eyes to Tina surrounded by their friends…. all with the same goofy expression on their faces.

“Ok, what’s going on here?”

“Well baby, this is part of your Christmas present….”

“T, Christmas is a month away”

“I know, now let me finish…. Well the girls and I have taken care of everything, with the help of James, and you and I are going somewhere special. Well I would be honoured if you would come and see my home, my passion and my past?”

Tina leans in to whisper in Bette’s ear

“Besides, I bought you a ***** bikini to wear”

Bette just looked at Tina and then their ‘family’, she couldn’t stop the tears that silently fell. She couldn’t believe what they had done for her, what Tina had done. She couldn’t trust herself to speak and so nodded her head as she embraced everyone.

“Right ok baby, we gotta get going or we’ll miss out flight…. thank you guys so much, I wouldn’t have pulled this off without you!” Tina said as she said goodbye to her friends

“Al, how the ***** did you keep this a secret for so long?” Bette asked

“Well, like I told Tina I had help…. and I’ve got the bruises to prove it” she said smiling

“Thank you guys… I love you but I gotta listen to Tina and so better say goodbye” Bette embraced each woman in turn, even Tori whom she had come to regard as a close friend, and then made her way with Tina to the Departures Gate.
