“Heal,” said Darci easily, her hands cupped around her cup. “With most people, I can stop blood coming from a wound, diagnose what is wrong, maybe help heal a little bit. With my close knit group of friends, well, I can do just about anything, except bring them back to life,” chuckled the doctor. “We leave that to Nat Summers,” grinned Darci.
“That’s… remarkable…,” stammered Bette handing Darci her tea and sitting down across from her. “This is one of your… I’m at a loss, natural talents?”
Darci chuckled, “Yes. We all have something natural to call on, Jo’s always had something more, since she can steal various talents from others,” smiled Darci taking a sip of her tea. Darci was ill at ease about discussing this with anyone besides their close knit circle of friends, yet Jo had trusted this woman, when she hadn’t event trusted the women of J*A*D*E*S, so Darci thought that Jo might know what she was doing, for once.
“And now?” asked Bette curious to know just how her girlfriend was going to act now that she was again going to change from human to some hybrid.
“I don’t know, I’ll know when I assess her,” said Darci seriously, taking in a sharp breath. “Jo’s always taken chances, this was a big one, using the blade on herself. None of us were around when she did the first time, she told us she did it to assure that Spencer wasn’t infected with the DNA strands that govern her own. Jo was, and is, the one that would jump off a bridge, or out a window, surf the hood of a car that is going 100 miles per hour. I don’t…”
“I’ll be fine,” said Jo from the door of the patio, her blonde hair shimmering in the light, eyes clear, but squinting. “You ready doc?” asked Jo, winking at Bette who got up and hugged Jo lightly. The cast a blazing green as Jo and Bette led Darci back into Bette’s bedroom. Bette thought it was cute that Jo had picked a color so childlike.
“You mind if we have a few minutes?” asked Darci as the entered the room, Jo turned, a quizzical look on her face for a moment.

Yay, Al kept the secret… so far, that is. So, Jo’s ready to go all human for Bette… I liked the idea of an infallible Jo. If she can’t die, Bette can’t lose her… and I don’t want Bette to lose her. I’d like a Darci on hand to cure any ailment: hangnails, colds, preventative measures for grey hairs (don’t have any yet, thank goodness)… I think Lara and Carmen can work, I just think they should try it and see… the heat’s already there, can they build something a bit more lasting? Al and Ro, still hot, and Ro’s just going to have to realize that Alice isn’t going to stop loving her, no matter what… Shane! Sam! Date? What kind of date DOES one take a millionaire on? I’d show Sam the life of a pauper. BBQ ribs on a paper plate from a roadside trailer, a couple of beers, and a rest of the night she wouldn’t forget. Some things, money can’t buy… Is Becca gonna have a thing for Quin? Quin’s a bit of a wild card, isn’t she? I keep pairing her up with everyone, in my mind. I thought for a while there, she was gonna prove to be a bit too much temptation for Alice! Quin certainly is tempting… plus she’s wicked smart. Tina should heed her words… if she’s as straight, then the sky is green. Great update, Janet. You *totally deserved* that award, *t o t a l l y*! I’m always waiting for more of this story. Yea! Sam and Shane are finally gonna get it on. It’ll be interesting to see what happens next with all the couples you have paired up. I’m really liking the depth of feeling between Bette and Jo. Lara and Carmen are really cute as a couple. The movie with Quin is becoming more intriguing. And has Tina changed her mind again?

So glad you’ve recovered from your ICU experience. LOL. You mentioned my favorite movie of the moment ‘Loving Annabelle’ – Sweet. I’m worried that Jo is going to be normal again. It probably won’t stop her from instinctually taking chances & basically being a bad ass always risking her life. Is it too late to scream “DON’T DO IT JO”!? Sam’s fear is understandable. Damn! the electricity between Quin & Becca made me want to see them onscreen. Lovin’ the direction of your fic.
what to say, what to say…first off…CONGRATS!! You deserve to win and of course we don’t think this will stunt your creative mind and make us think everyone is safe…after all you wouldn’t be you if you did that! Tina needs someone in her life, so go ahead and do that i suppose…LOL…and Bette…loved how she wanted to protect Jo and indirectly herself of possibly losing someone else she loves…poor thing is still very much broken. I love her and Jo..so…please continue…oh…what’s up with Meredith being down for an hour and a half then waking up with no problems?? UNBELIEVABLE!!! LOL

Totally enjoying Bette in love, but bettyvhall is right, now it is time for Tina to be in love…can I put in my request that it is with a WOMAN. Hey, I know…SIMONE!!!! Maybe she could sweep Tina off her feet, or vice versus…hell, Tina could even be the top with Simone!
