Collision Course 4.58
“You believe that?” asked Quin with a pained look in her eyes.
“No, besides the first part and that you are utterly gorgeous,” said Tina huskily.
Quin smiled, a bright smile, laugh lines that were usually hidden from the world emerged, reminding Tina just how young she was, “I’m certainly glad you think so.”
“I do,” said Tina wondering what to do with her hands, because they wanted to grab Quin and pull her close, kiss her, hold her, touch her.
Quin looked at the sidewalk, hands deep in her pockets, pulling down the jeans she was wearing, exposing the silky smooth stomach, her green eyes drifted up to capture Tina’s gaze, but she said nothing. Tina took that one last abyssal step towards Quin, rising up on her toes, and was about to kiss Quin, when a car turned the corner, the bright lights of the limo washed over them, making Tina take a quick step back as if caught.
Quin too, took a step back, seeing the car, “Jose…”
“He’s… here,” said Tina awkwardly. Forcing a smile, “You’d better get going, early call.”
Quin nodded, “Right.”
“I’ll see you,” promised Tina wanting to jump in the car with Quin but knew that it wasn’t right, she couldn’t. Quin didn’t like her in that way; she’d never showed any signs of it, at least none that Tina could think of.
“I hope so, I do work for you,” stated Quin as she opened the car door, disappearing into the darkness of the limo.
Tina watched the car driving away, licking her lips, looking up at the dark sky, turning and walking back to Sam’s. Pushing the gate open, seeing two cabs at the front of the house, Lara and Carmen were getting into one, calling out to Tina, waving and giggling. Helena was getting into the other, nodding a goodnight to Tina, who nodded back.
“Everyone is leaving?” asked Tina as she walked back to the back of Sam’s house. Amy nodded, “Me too, that was… a friend on the line, I have to do someone a favor, payback.” Tina narrowed her eyes, giving Amy a look, wanting to know why she was being cryptic. “I’m doing some consulting on a murder case, and there are some developments.”
“At 2am?” asked Tina.
“Yeah, it happens. I can drop you off at your place, I have a company car coming to get me,” said Amy.
“You know, I’m going to grab a cab, and head over to the studio. I haven’t watched any dailies from The Girls Next Door, and I think I should. Um…,” said Tina turning to see Bette coming out of Sam’s house. “…Do you mind if Angus drops off Angelica at your place in the morning?”
“Not at all,” smiled Bette. “You two planning a late night?”
“No, I’m going to work, or all places,” said Amy. Leaning in and kissing Tina, “I’m going to go then, call me when you feel like it.”
“I will,” said Tina as Amy left quickly, as if she really did want to go to work.
“Where are you going?” asked Bette.
“Work, I’ve been neglectful, and I think it’s time I rectify that,” said Tina thinking that there was something underlying about her having a need to see that dailies from the movie.
“Of course you have,” said Bette looking over at Alice, who was snoring hard, laying in a pool of drying water. “You think we should get her home?”
Tina crossed her arms, standing elbow to elbow with Bette; they looked at one another, amused looks on their faces, turning and looking back at the prone Alice, “Naw….”

Another great chapter! It is amazing how Bette and Tina can be at each others throats one minute and then smiling with each other the next. Hmmmmm!!! LOL If nothing else, I am persistent!! Thanks!! Oh…and spot on dialogue!!!
Yes it’s me ^>^. I just happen to read this chap twice to get whats really going on. Quin & Tina meow!!
Dont want Amy with Tina. will just get her a wee bit closer to Jo. guess Bette will need to do something to get Amy away from Jo Like kick butt. Now Alice is being a complete ass. Tina and Quin I can see that. They might think Quin is to young,or Tina is to old but looks like a good match. Helena seen rather bitter. Oh yes will have the complete shoulder the morning of the 25th. I can type you a comment it I do it with my toes.(Joke). thanks for posting. San is my favorite person thanks bvh
Really feel for Quin, temptation can be a bitch. The devil on my shoulder is saying she should “Go for it!” LOL. I was waiting for Bette to lose it, Amy would piss anyone off. Although its impled that Bette was upset over Tina I thought she was angry over Amy constantly invading her personal life, (Jo, her friends etc.) not necessarily Amy’s relationship w/ Tina. Tina should tell Quin how she feels, I’m sure she’d get a positive response from Quin. Alice’s mouth is a ticking time bomb, thank goodness no one payed attention to her drunken rambling. Terrific stuff, already wanting more.
I guess the last snore can count as the last word, lol. She certainly has a big mouth when she’s drunk.
I love that I have absolutely no idea where each of your chapters will lead. Glad that Bette went to Jo, despite her misgivings, and could say just the right thing. Thank wink you had Jo give Amy was just plain cruel.
Amy’s still making a play for Jo. We’ll see what Bette’s going to do about that… Shane will most def get the hang of parenting. Her determination that Shay not be put into foster care alone will see to that. So! Tina wants Quin for sure, does she? I see she’s rushing off to look at the dailies so that she can get her fill. Becca has *got* to back off Tina’s woman. There, I said it again! LOL @ drunk Alice getting shut up by Ro, then by Jo. I know Alice is going to fully blab, sooner or later, and it’s going to be a disaster. Maybe Bette can shut her up? Cos I don’t think Al is quite scared enough of Jo… Great chapter, Janet, thank you!
A little Sam and Shane can make my day! Jo and Amy made me nervous for Bette, then Bette of course Bette shows why everone loves Bette…hat was great! Wow, Becca wanted to cheat with Quin? Alice shouldn’t drink she was getting a little mean girls on the vodka. Loved the update as always thanks.
Quite good
