Alice’s eyes lit up, thinking of Natalie, “Be easy on Quin tonight, ok?” Alice had been trying to get up the nerve to tell Tina about Quin’s fall from grace, but wanted to keep Quin’s confidence. Weighing the consequences, Alice thought Tina needed to know what was going on with her very recent ex.
“Why?” asked Tina, turning and giving Alice a hot look.
“She… she fell off the wagon, ok? Spencer Wheaton found her cramped beyond words and took care of her, so be easy on her, ok?” pleaded Alice. Alice thought that Quin’s lapse had just as much to do, with all the pressure she was putting on herself, as her breaking up with Tina. Quin was a chameleon that was in constant change, something that Alice thought was great, but it made getting to know her difficult.
Tina nodded, now very serious, said, “I will be.”
“Because, Quin’s a great person, and you dumping her like that, it really sucked. She made one mistake, we all make mistakes, but you just uprooted your blossoming relationship for one lousy mistake,” stated Alice. “I’m not preaching, I know I’m not perfect, but she’s too good a woman to have been thrown out like that, Tina.”
Tina paled, “You’re right, I know, I didn’t end it well.” This was true, Tina had been abrupt in the break up, but, she was tired of, going though life, always being second on someone’s list.
“You shouldn’t have ended it at all,” stated Alice. “I gotta go and wait for my date, you behave!”
“I’ll make an attempt,” said Tina, with a chuckle. She watched Alice turn and jog back towards The Planet as she got into her car. Driving to the studio, hoping to hear good news on the soundtrack and the movie, Tina’s thoughts didn’t shift to Quin, instead they were on Bette.
The kiss had been a mistake, the turn of a head, just lips on lips for a moment…
It was blissful moment that left Tina with an odd wanting for more, but was it just residual feelings from their previous relationship, or was it something more? Something stirring, anew, between them? Could it be that Jo had known what might happen, once she broke it off with Bette, who hadn’t been as devastated as Tina thought she might have been. Instead, Bette seemed very much at peace with what she’d done and the outcome.

Well, for once, insomnia has led to something good. Welcome back! That was some really smokin build up with Natalie and Al, loved it. I liked Alice sticking up for her… (girl?)friend with Spencer. And I see Tina is jealous, too bad. If she snoozes, she’ll lose… again. She’s lost Quin for good, and Bette is moving on. Glad you had fun, JM, and good luck with the new job. Spencer is a brat. Love Natalie and Alice that was cute and now sexy At least Alice got her in bed. Tina is jealous,but Bette is not moving on from Tina. Just trying to keep from running to Tina. Just some wee baby steps. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Must have done you a world of good. Your writing is smooth in this chapter. Was going to say sweet,do you do sweet? Wow…dare I hope for a B&T reunion??? Cute interactions between Alice & Nat and nice touch helping Tina/Quin come full circle with their relationship. I soooo need your energy, what with the new job & all, congrats to that. Natalie & Alice were very cute together. Glad to see Natalie was just doubtful & not purposely misleading. With all the things that Spencer has faced, I tend to forget that she is a teenager prone to bitchy, childish behavior, luv what Alice had to say to her. Angelica makes me laugh, I can just picture the attitude that a child that age can give. Loved it.

Okay, Bettyvhall just said everything I was going to! Spencer is a brat, and Alice shows a glimpse of her Yoda side, and then switches right into her sexy side! Natalie is cute when she is nervous. Tina is jealous…Bette does want Tina (in my opinion) but is stopping herself from jumping right back into it. Maybe because there is a part of her that is still in love with Jo, she doesn’t want Tina to only get a part of her heart. Yet, I think there is a part of Bette that is still in love with Tina. Besides, Bette should know that when she loves, she loves completely…not part-ways. What a nice surprise to wake up to this! Thanks!!

Hey JM, “lighthearted is moi”… not the first descriptive word that comes to mind, but I like that you are keeping up your giggle factor…too cute! Gotta love the Alice. Setting Tina straight, setting Spencer straight, and then making sure Natalie wasn’t too straight. Great chapter, even the continued B&T teasing. Today is Friday so I am anxiously awaiting your juicy morsel!
JM so glad you finally got Alice and Natalie together. Funny you had Alice remember everything. So dense Bette is! Well lets see how Bette date goes with this “new” addition to the story. Doesn’t Bette and Tina notice that their daughters conversation is a little mature considering her age?
