“I dreamt of her, and of Dana, and my sister Mac.  Sam…  Sam would have loved to have seen the twins, but she will, see them and she’ll see them every day.  So will Dana, who is more than likely giggling at the fact that we named a kid after her,” smiled Shane blushing very brightly.

“Are you sure it was a dream?” asked Lara in all seriousness, her blue eyes swelling with tears.

“Whatcha mean?” asked Shane, wondering what in the world Lara was getting at.

“I’ve always thought that people we love can somehow, sometimes, communicate with us, from where ever they are, even after they are gone.  Maybe they knew you needed that little push, that edge of confidence,” said Lara.

“They wanted me to know that it was ok to love again, for me to have gotten married, that it was ok for me to raise these kids, for us to raise these kids, speaking of which, where are they?” asked Shane.

“Feeding time, but they said they’d bring them back in when they were done.  A few of Sam’s friends from the ER came up to see them earlier.  You realize that all they do is eat, poop, and sleep, right?” asked Lara.

“Yeah, I know, and I know that they’ll have their own personalities soon enough,” smiled Shane, kissing Lara gently.  “I think we should just enjoy this quiet time, don’t you?”

“I think we should,” nodded Lara, kissing Shane again.  Their lips touched softly, both of them smiling; a giggle escaped Lara every so often as they made out, their tongues dancing erotically between them.

The sun beamed down on Amy as she walked down the isolated beach, the feel of the sand between her toes making her smile.  She’d just come from the resort on Venus Island, about two miles away, and had decided that walking to the small hidden house was the best way to spend part of her afternoon.

Having flown to Venus Island a few days before, at Natalie’s prompting because she’s been worried about Jo.  Amy didn’t think that Jo needed to be worried about, she was tough, so much tougher than before.  Perhaps that was what had Natalie worried.  Amy closed her eyes to the soft breeze that whipped her hair away from her face, so happy that she was no longer in the public eye.  That part of her life was over with, she was no longer a public servant, but a woman who had everything to look forward to in live.

    1. I cant believe that you wont be writing * classes are not that long, really is unless you take all 8 in one senster. I do believe we will be seeing you soon,You are to good a writer not to write. Glad you got all the gang back together. That is a plus for you and you can write romance and gusty stuff real well. Take care study hard and be the best RN that anyone can be,the best. You and your have a happy Holiday thanks bvh

    2. Janet Marie: I have enjoyed reading your various stories. They are always very well-written and absorbing. And you certainly give the characters your own spin. ;-D Many congratulations to you on going to college to get your RN! Thank you so much for all the stories and I hope we do get a chance to see more from you in the future.

    3. Thanks for the great ride! Good luck in your schooling (including the exciting clinical part!)and your future career. You will never have trouble finding a job, that is for sure. In fact, you will be able to write your ticket to anywhere you would like to go. Enjoy yourself and Merci for the happy ending.

    4. Ahh, thank you Janet. I needed a happy ending at this moment in time. If you are a cult writer then count me into your little cult world. If you go at your schooling and then your profession with the same talent and passion you have with your writing…well, anyone would be lucky to be cared for by you. Take care of yourself, and even if you have to take a break from writing, that’s fine, just come back to it when you can. You are too good not to include this outlet in your life.

    5. Wow…that’s a whammy of a chapter to leave us on. I didn’t expect Tina to do the proposing. You always have a gift for surprises. Good luck with your studies, not that you’ll need it.

    6. Hey Lady! That was brilliant! TINA doing the proposing? Hee Hee. Too damn cute. Only you. I loved this: “Would you come take a shower with me? I’m feeling dirty and not in a good way,” said Rosita in a throaty sexy voice. Oh god that just made me purrrrr. Good luck in school hun. Ness is taking the RN program here too, and this semester her GPA is 4.0~~~ I’m soooo proud of her. Write when you can, you would be completely missed if you didn’t post. Here is a quote for you: “If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are gone, either write things worth reading or do things worth writing.” – Benjamin Franklin. A compliment to you Janet.

    7. Dear cult leader though I will not drink grape cool aid for you, I will follow your stories again when ever you return. Good luck with school. I know you will do well but eight classes in one semester is very harsh, becareful. I am also returning to graduate school. I am not sure I even know how to study anymore, no way would I take eight classes.

    8. I gather there’s a little bit more to come to wrap things up? Even if not, I wish you every success with your classes. I have complete and utter faith you’ll be as awesome an RN as you are a writer. This post was fabulous, as were the others, I can’t get over how good Lara and Shane are, and I’m pleased about Al and Ro and well, of course, B & T (a proposal?!?!). What about Jo, though? Amy? The rest of J.A.D.E.S? Their kids, the second generation? I’m gearing myself up to say goodbye to these characters, I’ve come to really care about all of them, and it’s gonna be hard. You have fantastic vision, Janet. I’m really gonna miss this story. (But I still think there’s a bit more, non? ;) ) Thanks for the post JM.

    9. Wow! Everybody is just jumping in with both feet aren’t they? Great chapter good luck with school we’ll all be watching and waiting for when you decide to grace us with another post. Thank you and Merry Christmas.

    10. Jo should give Amy and hersef a second chance at love. The wait was long but you made it worthwhile in the end for B&T so thanks. Good luck with school and my hat off for chosing that tough profession…but of course you probably love the challenge =) Do come back if time permits and continuing with Le Bandwagon would be a plus. Take care.

    11. great post! good for you that your going to school if that makes you happy you should do it i’m a nurse myself so i can relate.. and maybe we’ll see a post once in a while when you find the time
