The Next Day…

Tina and Jackson were sitting at Bette’s table. Bette and Serafina sitting across of them.

“Okay, let’s start with the most important question. What do you two want to do with the child?” Bette decided she would take control.

“I want… to keep it.” Serafina said. “I think that that after what I heard happened to Aunt Shane I really don’t want that to happen to my child.”

Jack sighed. “I was thinking about that to. I know it’s going to be hard Sera, but I promise that you are not alone in this.” He said. They smiled at each other.

“When are you planning on going to the gynecologist?” Tina asked.

“I made an appointment for tomorrow.” Serafina said.

“Can I go with you?” Jackson asked.

“Sure, it’s at 3PM. I hope you can make it.”

“I will.”

“If everything goes well and the baby is born, how are we going to manage that?” Bette asked.

“I would like for the baby to stay with me for the first six months and then Jack and I can arrange a schedule.” Serafina said.

Jackson looked a little puzzled. “I can see our kid in those six months right?”

“Off course, you are the father. You can see your child.” Serafina said. Jackson smiled.

“What about school?” Bette asked.

“I would continue to go to school but try to get a job, to pay for a daycare. I know that there is a daycare that accepts kids when they are six weeks old. Maybe, if I am lucky, I’ll give birth in the summer vacation and then I can stay at home for 8 weeks without problems. I’ll be able to do my exams then.” Serafina said. She had really thought about all this.

“And you Jack?” Tina asked her son.

“I’ll keep going to University and take a job on the weekends and Wednesday afternoon. We’ll pay each half of the bills for our kid.” Jackson said.

“When are you going to tell everyone?” Bette asked.

“After the ultrasound, I think. Then we know if everything is all right and it’s possible that we’ll know the gender but it can be that it’s not visible.” Serafina said.

“I agree with you.” Jack said.
