“I think so. Mommy.”
“Yes Angie?”
“I miss mommy.”
“I miss her too baby.” Bette held her daughter in her arms and carried her around the gallery.
Karen’s Hotel room…
(Tina’s impatient pacing back and forth along the carpet floor. She’s constantly watching her clock every second)
“Karen, can you hurry up in there?” Tina knocked repeatedly on the bathroom door.
“I’m coming. Damn, can you give me a couple of minutes?”
“Not really. We’re already late and I need to see my daughter. I miss her so much.” Tina collapsed against the semi gloss wall. “What will I say?”
“You’ll say that you was an asshole for leaving them both in the first place, and then you’ll apologize for being stubborn and stupid.”
“I got that part. What else?”
“And then you’ll tell them how you’ve missed them both so much, and how you’ve been thinking about them all the time since you left.”
“Uh-huh,” Tina flipped through her memo pad, “And then what?”
Karen opened the bathroom door with a towel in her hand. She shook her head in disgust. “What the hell are you doing?,”she tossed the towel to the side of her.
“What?,” Tina was surprised like she was caught in the act, “I’m reviewing my notes I took the other night.”
“You’re kidding right?”
“No.”
“Tina, put down the book, and focus on me for a second.”
“Okay,” Tina put the book down and focused on Karen. She tried her harderst to keep a straight face, despite the fact that she was wearing some orange cleasing cream on her face. “I’m listening.”
“Don’t go by what you wrote in the book Tina. Go according to what your heart is telling you. You know what you’re feeling every minute that the clock ticks. Follow your heart woman. Where’s your back bone?” Karen chuckled and turned away.
“I have a firm and strong back bone, thank you. I’m just nevous as fuck. This is the longest I’ve been away from them both. I feel so corny.”
“Don’t do this now. You need all he courage you can absord. This is your big day, and I would hate for you to ruin it with the nonsence you’re talking. Go in the bedroom and relax. Try your hardest not to think about it. I’ll be in there to join you in a sec.”

I am suddenly reminded of Rocky Horror Picture Show with all of the names-calling (Janet! Dr. Scott! Janet! Brad! Rocky! *Rocky glares*). And OMG Tina with the memo pad. WTF!!!! She must’ve been a big fan of Back to the Future (George McFly scribbling down a bunch of sweet stuff to say to Marty’s mom only to fuck it up lol). And me a comedian? Nahhhhh I don’t consider myself on the same plane with people like Ellen DeGeneres and Robin Williams. I just prefer to make people happy and in the process possibly capture the attention of “The One.”

This is what we’ve been waiting for, like, forever. Thanks for the reunion. Isn’t it amazing how intutitive and sensitive Angelica is? She could just feel Tina’s presence in NY and was seemingly uneasy all day long. And what a shock Tina’s reappearance was for Bette…she fainted.
