“Well I’m happy for you. I never thought you would be the next person to get married.”

“I can’t believe it either, but I’m happy that you’re happy for me.” Dana laughed softly. There was an awkward silence between the two.

“Why does this always happen to us?” Dana looked at Alice.

“I don’t know, I guess we’re just not used to being around each other. And we’re not touchy-feely with each other anymore. So I can see why we’re not used to this.” Alice chugged her beer, but Dana grabbed it from her before she finished.

“Alright, I think you had enough.” She walked over to the sink and pours the rest down the drain. The phone rings, and Alice went to answer it.

“Hello? Hi MarinaI’m goodWell we’re not doing anything laterSure, we would love to see the nice placeWell Dana’s here, I’ll tell herAlright, see you tonightBye.” Alice hung up the phone and walked over to Dana.

“What did she want?”

“Jenny and her are having a big dinner, and they’re invited us. So if you didn’t have any plans, tag along.”

“I can do that. I better get going, thanks again Al.”

“No problem, I’ll see you tonight.” Dana went to give Alice a hug, but Alice backed down. “I’m sorry. I’m just not used to-you know.”

“I understand. See you later.” Dana stuck out her hand, and Alice laughed.

“See you later.” Dana smiled and walked out of the kitchen. Alice sighed and headed towards the living room.

            Shane, Carmen, Christina and Melinda were walking down the street, just having fun. Carmen was keeping her eye on Melinda and held onto Shane’s hand. Christina stopped in front of a record store.

“Hey, let’s go into here.” The girls walked in and started to look around.

“I need some new records for The Planet. I’ll be back.” Carmen let go of Shane’s hand and headed off into the Techno section. Shane started to walk around and look at some old records. Melinda walked up to her and stood next to her.

“See anything that catches your eye.” Shane looked at Melinda, smiling at her.
