“I really don’t trust your friend.” Marina sits up.

“Why do you say that?” Jenny sighs and scratches her head.

“There’s something about her that I don’t like. She’s trying to get “close” to me, and I don’t let that many of people get close to me.”

“Jenny, don’t be this way. She wants to be a friend.” Jenny shakes her head.

“She wants to be more than a friend. She kissed me Marina.”

“Why would you lie about my friend?” Jenny looks at Marina.

“I would never lie to you about a damn thing. I love you too much to hide anything from you. I’m telling you the truth, she kissed me.”

“Let me up.” Jenny moves off of Marina’s lap, and Marina gets up. “I can’t believe you would say something like that about Veronica. She’s a very good friend of mine.”

“So you’re telling me that you’ll believe her before me?” Marina didn’t response. Jenny nods her head, tears forming. “I can see where our trust stands.” Jenny gets off the couch and walks out onto the patio and slides the door over.

            Dana walks into her apartment from excoriating practice. She slips out of her shoes and walks into her living room. She hears laughing and drops her back at the floor. Eva looks up and smiles.

“Hey babe, it’s go to see you home.” The woman turns around on the couch and looks at Dana.

“Hi Dana.” Dana looks at the woman and back at Eva.

“Lara? What are you doing here?” Eva gets off the couch and walks over to Dana.

“Now babe, she wanted to come over and talk. You can’t hold that against her, can you?”

Dana looks at Lara and drops her head. “No, I can’t, but you could have at least warned me or something before I came home. I really don’t like surprises.”

Eva kisses Dana and holds her close. “Babe, how about you get in the shower and get changed and all of us can go out together.”

Dana looks at Eva like she hit her head.  “I don’t know, I had a really long day today, I don’t think I’ll be up for it.” Lara got up from the couch and starts to walk.
