Dana smiled back at Shane. “You’re right, wish me luck.” Shane patted Dana on the knee as she stood to leave. “I don’t think you’ll need it, but good luck.”

DANA’S CONDOMINIUM LATER THAT NIGHT

When Dana opened the door she was met by a very anxious Alice. “Where have you been, I thought something happen to you, you know there’s a lot of craziness out there concerning you?” Dana took Alice’s face in her hands. “Al, I’ve been a celebrity for a while now, and I can’t live my life in fear of a few out of touch fans, and neither can you. I’m sorry if I caused you any worry, but you’ll understand in a little while what I’ve been doing all day.”

She pulled Alice over to the sofa so she would be sitting when Dana spoke to her. “Al, as Howie pointed out sometimes I speak before I think things through, and if I could I would take back what I said today in the interview.” Dana then looked at Alice and could see the confusion in her face. “Wait, that not what I meant, what I mean is I wanted it to be special when I asked you to spend your life with me. Not me blurting it out in front of a studio audience.”

Dana reached into her jeans pockets and pulled out a small black velvet box. When she opened it and showed it to Alice it contained two commitment rings. “Alice will you spend the rest of your life with me?”

Dana then pulled out one of the rings so Alice could read the inscription inside of the ring. It simply said “Dana’s choice” then she showed Alice her ring which said, “Alice’s choice.” She looked at Alice with a questioning look on her face. “I hope that’s true, that you will choose me to spend you life with.”

Alice picked up Dana’s ring and placed it on Dana’s finger, then Dana picked up Alice ring and did the same.

While tears were falling from both of their eyes, Alice told Dana. “You are and will always be my choice.” They then kissed knowing from that day on there would never be any questions about their commitment to each other.

My next story is going to be a lot more serious and dealing with a subject matter that nobody like to address and that is ***** hatred. It will be darker in it contents, but it will be a Danish piece none the less. I’ve already written the first chapter, and I wasn’t going to post it until I finished it, but I’ve changed my mind. If the feedback is negative I will drop the story, but I do think this is a real issue that faces the ***** community.
