“Baby Girl… you need to call her… she is not Jodi.. just because Jodi had her head up her ass doesn’t mean that Tina will. I have watched you for years going through the motions of life. You have so much love in side you to give, and you deserve to get the chance to give it, and you deserve the chance to have someone love you like that in return. I am not going to sit back and let you blow this before it even gets a chance to get started. Now get off the phone and call her!”
“Thanks Kit”
“Aw Baby Sis you know you can always count on me to give you a kick in the ass when you need it.. now go call her before she thinks that you didn’t like the flowers.”
“Bye Kit”

Bette took a deep breath as she dialed Tina’s number. Her stomach doing flips as she listened to each ring waiting for Tina to pick up.
“Hey Bette” the excitement was showing in Tina’s voice.
“Hey T… I was just calling to say thank you for the flowers. The are absolutely beautiful.
“Your welcome… how’s your ankle doing?”
“It’s getting better.. it’s not completely 100% yet, but it is better. Thank you again for taking care of me.”
“There is no need to thank me Bette… it gave us a chance to get to know each other better.”
“I really enjoyed spending time with you T”
“So did I Bette… I was wondering… would you like have dinner with me tonight?”
“I would love to T… what time will you be done with work?”
“I should be done by 5:30… I could pick you up at 7:00. Would that be alright?”
“That would be perfect.”
“It’s a date then.”
“Yes it is” Bette said with a smile.
“I should go if I’m going to get everything done in time”
“Ok” Bette didn’t want their conversation to end. “T”
“Yeah?”
“I’m… I’m really looking forward to tonight.”
Tina couldn’t help but smile at Bette’s nervousness. “So am I Bette… I will talk to you soon Bette”
“See you later T”
“Bye”
“Bye”
Bette hung up the phone and quickly called Kit.
“Hey I didn’t expect to hear from you so soon. Did you call her?”
“Yeah Kit…. I need a favor”
“Whatever you need Baby Girl”
“Can you watch Colin tonight?”
“Sure but what’s going on?”
“I have a date tonight” Bette tried to remain calm but her excitement was getting the best of her.
“Can you say that one more time?” Kit asked, she knew what Bette said but just had to hear it again.
“I have a date tonight with Tina”
“Thats great Baby Girl.. don’t you worry about Little Man. What time do I need to be there?”
“She is picking me up at 7:00”
“I’ll be there by 5:30 so you can get ready”
“Thanks Kit”
“Don’t thank me Baby Sis, just go and have a good time, that is thanks enough.”

Too cute, they’re going on a date. Love the way this is moving along, not too fast,but not too slow. Hey, the kids need a play date too. You know, swimming, BBQ, hanging out together with their Mommies.
I don’t think they are moving too quickly – I like the pace…and I’ll like the date even more. PPS!
