Tina focused on the last two words written, two simple words that hold so much meaning. Tina got lost in her thoughts of what it would be like to hear Bette use the L word for the first time.

Kate interrupted Tina’s dreamy state. “Correction Tina… you have fallen in love with her.”

Bette walked into The Planet with Colin by her side and he quickly took off. Bette didn’t see Kit so she headed back to her office.

“Hey Kit!”

“Hey ya Baby Girl…. soooo how did it go last night?”

“It’s was amazing Kit… we talked, cuddled, and kissed until four in the morning. Kit I would hold her for ever, and those lips oh my God those lips.”

Kit couldn’t resist the chance. “Sounds like you have met the woman of your dreams Baby Sis.” she said with a wicked smile. Bette didn’t even flinch she was in la la land just thinking about Tina, Kit loved seeing her sister like this… happy… truly and completely happy… something she was really starting to wonder if she would ever see again.

“I can’t thank you enough for everything you did last night.”

“Don’t be crazy… It was no big deal.”

“Kit it was beautiful you helped make last night so wonderful.”

“No Bette you and your girl made it amazing, I just made it comfortable.”

Bette smiled.

“So when you going to see her again?”

“Saturday we are having a BBQ and taking the kids swimming.”

“What?”

“We are having a…”

“I heard what you said… I’m just surprised.”

“Why?”

“I didn’t think you would be planning family time so quickly… Tina must be really special.”

“She is Kit… I’m falling for her hard and fast…” Bette was interrupted by her phone ringing. She checked the caller ID and her smile beamed. Kit just sat back and watched her sister’s interaction with the woman who had apparently stolen her heart.

“Hey T”

“Hi Baby” Bette’s smile took over her face. She loved it when Tina called her Babe or Baby.

“I just wanted to call and say Thank You for the flowers they are beautiful!”

“I’m glad you liked them!”

“Bette… thank you for last night I had a wonderful time… and ….I can’t wait either!”

“Tomorrow seems so far away”

“I know it does, I wish I didn’t have to go into the studio today.”

“You could call me before you go to bed tonight and we can talk a bit…. if you want.”

“I would like that a lot”

“Great I will be looking forward to it!”

“Me to Babe!”

“I..I l..I’ll talk to you later” Bette’s slip didn’t go past Tina.

“Me to Babe… Me to!” and with that Tina hung up leaving Bette wondering if she had been caught.
