A Tibette Beginning
Chapter 69
Previously…
“We should go in there and cheer Bette up!” Alice suggested.
“No we are going to stay right where we are” Kit protested.
“She’s right Al.. if Bette wants time alone with Tina then that’s what she’s going to get.” Shane added.
“But”
“Al seriously.. leave them alone” Dana drove the final nail in. Alice slumped back in her chair and pouted while everyone else started talking about how excited they were about Gavin’s arrival.
* * * * *
Tina slid onto the couch behind Bette, wrapped her arms around her and pulled her back against her chest.
“You just lay back here relax and enjoy your lunch baby.”
“Mmmm.. this feels good T… how’s it going in there?”
“Good.. the shelves are up, the changing table is done, and we are just about done with the crib.”
“Is she double checking everything?”
“Babe relax… she is doing a great job and being extra careful. She is doing you proud I promise. “
“She is so good with all the kids.” Bette said making it evident she had something on her mind.
“Yeah she is, and they all love her.”
“T.. who are the girls God Parents?”
“Dana is their God Mother… what about Colin?”
“Kit and Alice”
“T.. what do you think about asking Shane to be Gavin’s God-Mother?”
“I think she would be thrilled and very honored.”
“She is going to be good to him no matter what.”
“Yeah… I think she is just as excited as we are.”
“Would you be Ok with asking her T?”
“Of course I would Bette I would have no problems entrusting any of my kids to her.”
“Good.. that’s settled.. but T… I don’t want to tell her just yet.”
“Ok… Why?”
“I want her to feel him in her arms when we ask her… It will freak her out now.. but I’m pretty sure her reaction and feelings about it will be different once she holds him.”
“You know your probably right babe.” Tina said kissing Bette’s cheek. “You know she really looks up to you babe.”

I thought that Shane did a wonderful job of answering the kids questions. She is more ready to be a mom than she thinks.
I think Shane handled that very well. She will be a great God Mother. How long do we have to wait for Gavin to get here? PPS

So Sweet 513, Shane is going to be the perfect godmother, that is such a typical question. Like all the other typical things that kids and new babies bring nobody tells you or maybe they just want you to be able to find out on your own. I know that Gavin needs more time with his Mom,. Can we fast forward a couple of weeks. Let get that little feller in this big world so his big brother and sister gets to see how beautiful he is and that their moms can show them the love that they seems to be worried about. Love that they are going to ask Shane to be the God-Mother
