“It’s because I used to be just like her. I was a wild child and she knows it.”
“She has settled down a lot since she moved back.”
“Yeah?”
“Like night and day babe… I guess she just needed to see that it could be done.”
“She will be a good woman for someone and a good mother someday… when she’s ready.”
“Yeah she will be.. she has so much love inside her to give… she just needs to figure out that she can give it without getting hurt.”
“She will T.. she just needs to find the right woman at the right time.”
“I hope you are right babe.”
“I know I am.. just look as us.”
Tina held Bette tighter. “I love you Bette.”
“I love you to T.”
“Are you feeling better?”
“Yeah I am.”
“Good… you better finish eating”
“I will… but you need to eat T.”
“I will baby..I just wanted to get you feeling better first.”
“I’m Ok T.. you need to eat”
“I’m going to my plate is right here.” Bette tried to turn herself so Tina could eat. “Babe.. stay where you are.” Tina said as she slid out from behind Bette and sat down on the floor beside her. They enjoyed their lunch together… without interruption before everyone headed back to work getting the nursery ready for Gavin’s arrival.
Everything was done by 4:00 and the girls all headed home. Shane offered to get the kids and keep time until dinner so Tina could join Bette for her afternoon nap which was long overdue.

“Auntie Shane?”
“Yeah booger!” The collective giggles coming from the back seat of her Jeep made her smile.
“Auntie… what’s it gonna be like when the baby gets here?” Skyler asked.
They had all been waiting for these questions and she was secretly glad she was the one they choose to ask.
“Well guys.. I’m gonna be honest with you. For a little while it’s gonna be pretty crazy. The baby is going to sleep a lot, and when he is awake he is going to need a lot of care. Your Momma and Mommy are going to be really tired because he will wake up and be hungry every few hours.”

I thought that Shane did a wonderful job of answering the kids questions. She is more ready to be a mom than she thinks.
I think Shane handled that very well. She will be a great God Mother. How long do we have to wait for Gavin to get here? PPS

So Sweet 513, Shane is going to be the perfect godmother, that is such a typical question. Like all the other typical things that kids and new babies bring nobody tells you or maybe they just want you to be able to find out on your own. I know that Gavin needs more time with his Mom,. Can we fast forward a couple of weeks. Let get that little feller in this big world so his big brother and sister gets to see how beautiful he is and that their moms can show them the love that they seems to be worried about. Love that they are going to ask Shane to be the God-Mother
