“Everything is going fine here though I need to know when to make that appointment with Mr. Carlson. Did you get the emails I send over?”

“Oh yes thanks for reminding me. I had almost forgotten about that. I am looking at them right now. I will need a few days to go through the contracts in more detail though. So I want you to make the appointment for next week okay? Alright, anything else?” Bette said as she made a note of it on her laptop.

“Oh yes, one more thing. There was an urgent call for you from one Ms. Summers.”

“Hmm, I don’t recognize that name. Did you get what it was all about?”

“No she wasn’t ready to leave a message with me but she did mention that she wanted to talk with you urgently regarding Elaine Johnston. I gave her your cell number as you weren’t going to come in. I hope that’s okay.”

“She said Elaine Johnston? Okay. I wonder what she wants to talk about. Fine, I will keep an eye out for her call.” Bette jotted down the name and ended her call with Cheryl.

Just as she got up to get another cup of coffee her cell rang again.

“Hello?”

“Ms Porter! Gotten lucky yet?” Jacky teased laughing out loudly.

“And how is that any of your business Jay?” Bette shot right back, good naturedly admonishing her dear friend calling her with her nickname which she claimed of not being her favorite.

“Oh come on Bette you are being no fun! At least give me a little something as thanks for the nice breakfast I arranged for your majesty.” Jacky said trying to get any juicy scoops while enjoying the light bantering with Bette.

“Okay I agree you deserve praise for the wonderful breakfast that you arranged so early in the morning. So thanks for that Jay, but you are so not getting anything more than that.” Bette chuckled.

“Hmm that’s a shame and it means you haven’t gotten any.” Jacky laughed whole heartedly.

“Jay, can we please move along now? We can’t have you having too much fun at my expense, now can we?” I wonder what is taking Tina so long Bette thought. She was missing Tina already.
