“Okay..okay..Porter, tell you what. I got an idea. Take the lady shopping and show her a good time will ya? How’s that?” Jacky said pleased with her suggestion.

“Thanks for you advice Jay but I got that covered. I am sure I won’t be needing any help this time, plus I am well aware of how you are with the ladies.” Bette smirked.

“Ouch, that hurt Porter! I will keep that in mind!” Jacky said in mock hurt.

“Goodbye Jacky” Bette disconnected the call shaking her head and laughing at her friend.

Not even a minute had passed when the cell rang again. Now what? Bette wondered. If that’s Jacky I swear….

“Porter?” Bette answered impatiently.

“Babygirl! It’s about time!” Kit’s concerned voice came over the line.

“Kit! Hey!” Bette couldn’t help the grin that lit up her face.

“Bette, girl this is so not good. I told you I was going to be in town and you disappear on me, very bad.” Kit admonished her little sister.

“Well let me make it up to you. Let’s meet for lunch today over at the Parkview. I do have a surprise for you. How’s that sound?” Bette could hardly contain her excitement.

It was no secret how much Kit loved her some surprises. This is going to be so good Bette thought excitedly in her mind.

“Okay sounds perfect. Oh and baby girl it better be good for your sake!”

“Trust me Kit. You will love it.” Gotcha, the small voice in Bette’s head said.

“Okay then I will see you at noon."

“Who was that?” Tina’s sudden question startled Bette out of her wits.

She had been so busy planning her trick on Kit that she hadn’t heard Tina coming into the room, looking all fresh and rosy. Tina looked amazing wearing a simple white T-shirt and black hip hugging low rise jeans. Her hair was still a little damp from the recent shower, all tousled while forming quite a few curls that framed her face.

“Shit you scared me there Tee! Now don’t go about getting into the habit of scaring the lights out of me.” Bette said looking appreciatively at the flushed looking blonde, the brown eyes apparently full of mischief.
