    Don’t Say a Thing – Ch 9

    Chapter 9

Bette was sitting in a huge chair in her hotel room, Tina on her lap. The beautiful blonde sat collapsed on top of her lover, holding onto her for dear life. The tears kept on coming and she couldn’t find a way to stop them. The idea that Bette had written her so many letters, and she hadn’t received a single one of them… her life could have looked so different. She knew Bette was angry as well, but that she shoved her furiosity to the back of her mind as her priority was to comfort Tina.

Bettes fingers were softly combing through Tina’s hair, the other one patting her back as she was hushing her. Tina felt as if her heart was slowly tearing, as if the pain of all those years was hitting her in one giant wave. After Bette had left seventeen years ago, her life had went black. She had lost all purpose, all orientation, she was lost in a forest of fear and hopelessness. She couldn’t find a way out and was convinced she never would, she had lost the map of her life and was left to figure things out herself, on her own. Angus had been there, but it was different. They had found comfort in each other, but Angus put a lot of his emotion in his music, and that made it easier for him to cope with everything. Tina still had those emotions raging through her, making her almost explode with anger and grief.

If Shane hadn’t held back those letters, all that despair and wondering wouldn’t have been there. She wouldn’t have wondered why Bette didn’t write her, how it was possible that after a year of loving each other so intensively, Bette didn’t care enough anymore to write her. Just knowing how Bette was doing and finding a solution together would have made her life look so different. They would have written each other, telling the other one what was going on, counting the days until they reunited. They would have find a way.

As if Bette was reading her mind, she said: “T, there is one positive side to it.”

Tina looked up, eyes swollen. With a hoarse voice she asked: “What on earth can be the upside of us losing each other because she held back the letters, what can be the upside to us believing the distance had killed the other’s love, making us feel so fucking unhappy… making me do the most foolish thing in my life by marrying Henry Stevens?”

    1. G where have you been?? I waited for this story for so long to be up dated, But I just have one very good question, WHY DID SHE MARRIED HIM can you please tell me, it seams to me that she didn’t even knew him that well before marring that asshole. Anyway that was a great chapter, all the thing that Tins said when she was threatening him were things only a little and childish person cares about, she deserve so much better and all the women deserve so much more than life sometimes offers. Thanks G, you are great and I love reading your stories. Post soon please and have a beautiful day. Love

    2. Yay! A new chappy…I so hoped that this is the chapter where Tina leaves Henry and you did it. You wrote this scene so real. I felt like I was standing in the livingroom and they were fighting right in front of me. Great! I’m excited to see how Elizabeth will react, how they will work everything out (like where to live and that) and of course: the reaction of the others… Maybe you are 17 but I would say that at least your writing skills show how mature you are for your age. And of course I KNOW that you are a wonderful person who is blessed with rare gifts: fantasy, the power of your imagination and a very good heart…have a great day my friend Yours Jay

    3. Tina was hitting Henry way below the belt. Why do men always think of sex if they are better are if the other person is better. Tina not only worked outside the home, but took care of the home anf maded Henry laxer than what he was. Elizabeth will love to be in a new home with lots of love and repect for her mom. thanks

    4. nice update… so glad tina laid it on the line to henry… hopefully he lets her leave and they all can live their lives… but i have a feeling thats going to take work… PPS

    5. soooooooo great. Yeah Bette take your family with you. Elisbeth needs a stable family. Thank you Henry for your sperm which create Elisabeth, your task is finished goodbye. Hope everything will be fine. I have been waiting for this reunion since Bette left 17 yeas ago. PPS

    6. Hey Genner, Good to have Bette and Tina finally towards each other. Loved how Tina socked it to Henry. The guy is a total waste of space. Tina had all the put downs arranged and jist let them fly when she needed them. Henry ain’t got a chance. Now Bette and Tina deserve the life together that was stolen from them. Elisabeth deserves parent who adore her. Henry can just fade away like the bad smell he is. Genner, while you may not have experienced this first just keep writing from the heart. Brilliant.
