Soon normal conversation developed and Marina put the younger woman out of her mind. Cecilia returned to the house to check on the food she had started and the women proceeded with their planned day of fun. They drank, ate, and swam the afternoon away as if nothing had happened. Several times, Shane and Jessica were caught in rather heated embraces and, the gang being the way they are, interrupted every time. This last time, Alice had even turned a cold hose on them. This sent Jessica running into the house to put her dry clothes on in order to get warm. Marina guided her to a guest bathroom and took the opportunity to get the ring she was going to propose to Cecilia with. As Marina came back downstairs, Cecilia passed her on the way to the kitchen once again.

I have an order for another pitcher of margaritas. Can I get you anything? Cecilia asked stopping to give Marina a quick kiss.

Actually could you make a couple more of those brie wraps? They were wonderful!

Anything for you gorgeous. Marina knew that the wraps would keep Cecilia inside long enough to show Bette and Tina the ring. Her timing was perfect. Dana, Alice, and Shane were all in the pool trying to see who could swim the furthest under water and Bette and Tina sat at the table watching and laughing at them. Marina joined them and after pulling the small bundle from her robe pocket, sat it on the table.

Is that the ring? Tina whispered reaching for it. Marina just nodded her head and watched as her friend slowly lifted the lid. Bette looked over her shoulder as Tina gasped at what she saw. Marina! Its beautiful! Shes gonna love this. Tina closed the box and quickly handed it back to Marina.

Very nice, Bette said nodding her head in agreement. So its almost time? she asked smiling.

Yes. When she comes out, Ill ask her. Marinas face was glowing with her excitement.

Hey! Cecilia didnt hear Jessica enter the kitchen until she yelled over the blender. Turning the machine off, Cecilia looked at Jessica with questioning eyes.

Hey back need something? Cecilia asked trying to be polite and turning towards the counter to pour the margaritas.
