Alice was picking them up at the airport and they were off to the
beach. Tina had not figure out when they would stop by and surprise
Bette but she could not wait to see her. Their phone calls felt tender
and close. Tina knew that she seeing Bette again might answer some of
the question that had been on her heart.
“Kennard! Kennard!” There bouncing up and down outside baggage claim
was Alice. Looking ever the same like she had not aged a day. Tina
grabbed Jessie and headed for the door. There was a long embrace that
turned quickly to tears. “Alice it’s so good to see you” “Tina you look
great and who may ask is this angel?” Jessie looked a bit shy. “Jessie
this is my friend Alice that I told you about on the plane” “Hi I’m
Jessica Elizabeth Kennard” “Well I’m pleased to meet you and we are
going to have a great time” Jessie smiled brightly at Alice and her
mother.
Bette and Shane scrabbled to finish everything. The house was nothing
short of magnificent. It over looked the ocean and had 180-degree views
in the rooms upstairs and downstairs. The upper deck had a wonderful
hot tub and there was even a workout room on one of the lower levels
and the kitchen was a chef’s dream. There was more than enough room in
this five-bedroom hide away.
Shane and Bette had parked their cars away from the house not wanting
to give away the surprise. In just a day they had managed to get a
tree, gifts and fill the fridge with food. Bette felt so nervous the
fact that Tina was coming meant a deal to her and she wanted it to be a
special time.
“Alice, Alice darling!” Poor Alice could not believe her eyes of all
the people in the universe why was she having to run into Isabella the
vampire at this moment.
“Hey Al I think that women is calling you” Tina had not idea why Alice
was suddenly walking so fast. Tina stopped to try and figure out what
was going on.
“Tina we should not” “Ciao Alice my darling it’s good to see you”
“Hello Isabella passing through? On your way else where?” “Oh for
heaven sake you are always the funny one of Bette’s charming little
band of friends” Hearing Bette’s name immediately changed the
situation. “I’m hear to work on a film and enjoy Los Angeles” “That’s
nice Isabella well we have to be going now” Alice wanted to get away
from her a quickly as possible.
“I’m Isabella Sciarra and you are?” Tina extended her hand while
holding Jessie. “I’m Tina Kennard and this is my daughter Jessie”
Isabella instantly knew who Tina was from the name she had heard Bette
speak of her and she recognized Tina from a photo in Bette’s house.
Isabella’s hand felt like ice, it made Tina blood run cold and she did
not have a good feeling about this women.
“Alice I will see you sometime over the next few months I’m sure when
Bette and I stop in the that place what is it – called the earth?” “The
Planet it’s called the Planet” Alice gave her a fake smile and the look
of death she turned quickly walking away.
The ride out to the beach was a quiet one Tina looked lost deep in
thought as Jessie slept on her lap. Tina thought the women at the
airport looked familiar like maybe from one the magazines she had seen
Bette’s photo last year. Who ever she was Tina was not happy to meet
her and know that she was now in L.A.
They pulled up to house and Tina was overwhelmed with what she saw this
place was more like mansion on the beach – Shane had drastically under
stated how large it was and just how close to the beach.
Jessie looked thrilled. “Mommy I see the water” “Yes, I see it too.”
“Alice opened the door rather curious about Shane’s where a bout’s but
the house looked great. There was a huge tree and lots of wrapped
presents. Jessie ran to look at the presents and Bette walked in from
the deck enjoying Jessie’s excitement.
She looked around for Tina and there she was looking ever the so
lovely. Their eyes met, Bette smiled but they did not connect. Tina was
disconnected, something was wrong. At that same moment Jessie saw Bette
and leaped for her arms. “Auntie Bette I missed you” “Oh sweet heart I
have missed you too”
Shane stepped into this reunion happy to see Tina who she quickly
embraced. Shane knew from looking at Tina that something was wrong.
Tina whispered in her ear. “Who the hell is Isabella?”

Glad to see another chapter from you Ms. Chaka. Looks like we all agree Izzy’s bad news. Please don’t let her fuck things up for the girls (at least nothing major) at this delicate point in their renewed relationship.

It is always such a joy to see that you have posted. Now, I have one favor to ask. Seems as though all the FF writers have to throw a wet blanket on Tina’s security with someone out of Bette’s past. Their reunions never seem to go smoothly. Please don’t fall into that trap. For once it would be nice to enjoy a reconnection without the anguish of someone comming between them. Thank you for posting.
Glad for the update and please let Shane and Alice tell her that Izzy is in the past and Bette is not seeing her now. Izzy wishes. Please let them have a special, loving and wonderful reconnection for Christmas. THEY NEED EACH OTHER AND LOVE EACH OTHER TO PIECES. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Don’t let Izzy wreck their time coming together. They need this so badly. Will you please be the one to write a story that lets them be reconnected without problems. PLEASE. Thanks for the post.

I smiled all the way through this until they ran into Izzy, the Diva at the airport. Best line: Izzy: “…what is it – called the earth” (ROFLOL). Please don’t let her ruin the reunion!

Another great chapter….but Tina has NO rights to be angry with Bette. They haven’t been a couple for many years, did she expect Bette to live in celibacy all this time?????? But the fact that Izzy is getting to Tinas nerves is answering all of Tinas questions, she still loves Bette!!!! :o)))….So continue this story already and please make the posts longer.
