Tina was totally blown away, confused and suspicious that Bette had had something to drink perhaps. She looked carefully at Bette, and saw that she really did look troubled. She could see it wasn’t just a joke.
“I know,” Bette said through her tears, “This is crazy. I know … but Alice can confirm all of this. You can call her, and she’ll tell you the same thing.”
Tina thought about what she would do if she were in Bette’s position, and truly believed something so crazy had happened to her. She would need Bette to believe her, and as unreasonable as it all sounded, she would be her wife’s support. She tried to distract herself from all of the confusion, and squeezed Bette’s hand. “Look at me.”
It was a quiet moment, but filled with their thoughts and their incredible bond. Bette slowly tilted her head up and locked her teary eyes with Tina’s.
The honesty Tina saw there, like so many other times, astonished her. She looked back down to their hands together, and intertwined their fingers. “… This is true …?”
“I know it doesn’t make any sense, but-”
“I believe you,” Tina said with honesty. She hadn’t expected to ever take a story like that as truth, but she knew that look in Bette’s eyes. Along with the desperation, there was utter truth. “I can’t believe I’m saying this … but I believe you.”
Bette was overwhelmed with her happiness at Tina’s trust – she had been concerned that Tina really would think she had lost her mind. She couldn’t stop herself from leaning in and giving Tina the biggest hug she could give. She started crying on Tina’s shoulder. “T … oh my god … I’m so sorry.”
“As … crazy as all of this sounds …” Tina smiled, a bit shaken, holding Bette to her, “… It would explain a few things.”
“I know …” Bette whispered, moving with Tina as they laid on the bed together with their lack of balance, “I’m different from the Bette you married … I’m sorry.”
When she thought of all the things Bette had been through with her and Angelica, she had to smile. “Not all that different.”
A weak smile found its way onto Bette’s lips. “I think I’m crazy.”

I was so excited when I saw you’d posted – I was like Angie on Christmas morning! That was a fantastic chapter. You manage to write a piece that is heart-rending and yet also funny and sexy (VERY sexy!) I loved how Tina put herself in Bette’s position and was so trusting of what she was telling her, and I seriously loved the ending. I can’t wait for the next chapter, even though I’m having a mini sulk because it is the final one! Thank you!

Wow, I wasn’t expecting that! This is great. She gets a chance to do things differently this time around. I wonder if she will have her memory of everything that has happened forever or if she’ll forget it all and just go back to the younger version of Bette.
I confess I don’t want this story to end. I really love these versions of Bette and Tina – without all the heartbreak and angst and guilt. I will miss the relationship they have in this story– thanks! I think we’re gonna need a sequel sometime…just saying. No hurry. Looking forward to the last chapter.

Hey biissexi, It really is fab to have you back posting more of this amazing adventure. Bette and Tina were so honest that it hurt during this last chapter. The truth did set them free. It was so sweet and precious to have they simply spooning each other to demonstrate their love and attraction. Angelica was adorable and so cheeky jumping on her mommies on Christmas morning. I am so happy that they got to share event as a family. And now the end is near as Bette returns to that pivotal moment. I can’t wait to read more so please continue whenever you can.
