    Done with hospital, Bette and Tina talking, Bette and Maryann talking, and Tina starts her “recovery”

    Chapter Nineteen

    After the doctor finally came for Tina’s check-up he gave them the greenlight to go home tomorrow.

    “So, are you excited? At least a little bit?” Bette asks as she sits down on the bedside.

    “I am, it’s going to be so good to get away from here. The only place I feel bad about leaving is the school. I have to go there tomorrow and resign.” Tina says.

    “Yeah, I can imagine. I’m sure some school in Nashville needs a teacher.” Bette says with a smile.

    “Yeah. Hopefully.” Tina says.

    “So, what are you going to do about the house?” Bette asks.

    “I’m selling it. In order to get the money from Eric I need to sell the house. So I should contact a real estate agent for that tomorrow also.” Tina says.

    “Yeah, and I was thinking about your car, I don’t think you’re ready to drive for 9 hours, am I right?” Bette asks.

    “Yeah, you’re right. When the hip is better, I’ll come down here and get it and get the last of my stuff.” Tina says.

    “Okay, good. I managed to get you a bed, a sofa and a kitchen table into the rent. I could rent a trailer that way you could bring some of your furniture’s with you.” Bette says.

    “That’s not necessary I think, not yet.” Tina says.

    “Tina, if you want it with you, just say so. It’s not a problem.” Bette says.

    “Are you sure?” Tina asks

    “Yes, I’m sure.” Bette replies.

    “I feel like I’m taking advantage of you in some way.” Tina says softly.

    “You’re not. I’m happy to help you in any way I can.” Bette says.

    “Thank you. I’m not used to people being so nice, without wanting something in return.” Tina says.

    “Well…. I do want something.” Bette says teasingly.

    “You do?” Tina asks a little surprised, suddenly a little scared of the answer.

    “Yes I do.” Bette replies with a small smile.

    “What?” Tina asks nervously.

    “You.” Bette says with a wide grin.

    “Oh… you… you scared me, I thought I would need to break out Evan’s college fond there for a moment.” Tina says sighing with relief.

    “No, no need for that.” Bette says as she takes Tina’s hand. They look deeply into each other’s eyes and both feel the connection and the pull towards each other. “You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen, and I’ve wanted to kiss you since I first saw you, but I know that you’re not ready for that yet.” Bette says softly as she waits for Tina’s reaction to her sharing words.

    6. Oh No, the posting indicated five pages, but there was nothing on that page. Anyway back to the story, I am doing a happy dance of the two step, that Tina is on her way to Nashville, and it is so clear that Bette’s heart is going not only to Tina, but little Evan as well. But as I read that Tina’s true breakdown has not occurred, I have feeling when she does, she is going to blame Bette for things changing in her life.
