Chapter two
Tina gasps in shock as she carefully moves her hand up and winces as she touches the surface of the bruise. The tears start again and this time she can’t stop them. The brunette walks over to the door and locks it, making sure no other comes inside.
Tina looks a little scared at her not sure what the brunette is going to do.
“I thought you could use some privacy. I’m Bette by the way. Bette Porter.” Bette says and reaches out her hand.
“Thank you. I’m Tina, Tina Kennard.” Tina says and slowly shakes Bette’s hand.
“Well, now we’re not strangers anymore. You want to talk? I can see it in your eyes that you are holding something inside that you can’t hold on to much longer, so, why don’t you just let it out. I won’t judge you or hurt you. I’ll listen.” Bette says with a soft smile.
Tina feels her whole resolve is fading. Somehow this brunette is showing an interest in how she’s doing, but can she be trusted? Bette also sees the hesitation in Tina’s eyes.
“Whenever you’re ready. Take your time. I have all the time in the world.” Bette says, still smiling softly.
Tina closes her eyes for a moment, gather the strength she feels like she’s going to need.
“Can I trust you? Not to tell anything to anyone?” Tina softly ask.
“Absolutely.” Bette says sincerely.
“I can’t believe I’m talking to a stranger about this.” Tina says almost in a whisper.
“We aren’t completely strangers, we know each others names remember.” Bette says giving her best smile.
This makes Tina smile too. Something about this brunette makes her relax. She feels like she can be trusted.
Tina slowly and carefully takes off her jacket, revealing both her arms full of bruises. There wasn’t much “normal” skin on them.
Bette covers her mouth, tears threatening to spill.
“Oh my God, who did this to you?” she whispers.
“My loving husband.” Tina says. Bette moves closer and very gently she touches Tina’s bruised arm.
“Is this the first time?” Bette asks as she looks up into Tina’s tearful eyes.
Tina slowly shakes her head.
“How many times before?” Bette asks, already dreading the answer.

wow great story i really love where this is going
You are going to spoil us with frequent updates, but I love it. Glad to know Bette is someone that can really help to get her out and has the force behind her to protect herself and Tina. Thanks for the second chapter so soon.
first step is the hardest… telling someone… now the rest should be easier… bette needs to help her get the baby and get the hell out of town… fast..pps

Great start. Nobody: woman, child… deserves to be beaten up and especially not on a daily basis. It’s good that Tina started saying NO. Bette as a cop will be great! I saw the trailers of “Ride Along” and Jennifer Beals is awesome; Read you soon.

The bathroom scene somewhat reminded me of the one in Laurel’s movie “2 Girls In Love”. This story has referenced two on my favorite place, my home state of NC and Nashville, TN-the home of county music-my pure joy.
