“Yeah, perfect.” Tina replies with a smile. She follows Bette to the door. Once in front of Bette she becomes a little insecure. Bette senses it and takes Tina’s hands in hers and gently tugs them, drawing her a little closer.

“You’ve made me a very happy woman today Tina.” Bette softly says.

“I’m pretty happy myself.” Tina admits with a shy smile.

“I’m gonna kiss you now.” Bette whispers. Tina only nods. She leans in and their lips meets softly. The kiss lasts for a minute.

“I can get used to this.” Tina admits as they separate.

“Good, because I plan to kiss you more often.” Bette says and leans in for a final kiss before she had to leave. “I have to go. I’ll call you.” She says as she walks down to her car. Tina stands in the doorway until Bette’s car disappears around the corner. She slowly closes the door, a wide smile on her face as she softly touches her lips as a tear finds its way down her cheek. She quickly wipes it away. “Don’t cry. I’m happy, no more tears.” Tina tells herself.

All she did the rest of the evening, was wait for Bette’s call. At eleven fifteen her cell rings.

“Hey.” She answers.

“Hi, sorry, it a little longer than I hoped. Just got back to the station. So, how was your evening?” Bette asks.

“Non-productive. I’ve been waiting for you.” Tina shyly admits.

“You have? So… no regrets yet?” Bette asks softly.

“No, not one.” Tina quickly replies.

“Good. I miss your lips already.” Bette says with a chuckle.

“Me too. You are so soft and sweet.” Tina says.

“Thank you, I guess.” Bette chuckles.

“Hey, don’t tease me. I’m new at this you know.” Tina acts hurt.

“I’m sorry. I know. I’m sorry.” Bette says. “You’re a very good kisser.” Bette says after a few moments.

“I am?” Tina asks.

“Yes, you are.” Bette replies.

“Thank you. I’ll be sure to do it more often, have to keep the score up high.” She says with a chuckle. She gets more comfortable with the whole situation minute by minute. She then hears voices in the background.

“I’m sorry, but I have to go T. There’s some new development in the case. I’ll call you tomorrow. You get a good night’s sleep okay?” Bette says.

“I will, and again, be careful.” Tina replies.

“I will. Good night.” Bette says and they hang up.
