Shane, long time no see. Hows Alice? Gabby glared at the intruder.
Shane smiled at Marissa then turned her attention back to Gabby, Happy. Something to do with ditching an emotional cripple, I think.
Something about Shanes casual stance and easy smile made Marissa relax, Hi.
Irritated Gabby started to storm off, Oh, Marissa. Watch out, shes slept with at least half the women in LA.
Marissa quirked an eyebrow at Gabbys retreating back, Wow, that much huh, must be tiring.
Shrugging Shane took in the expensively dressed and obviously young girl in front of her, Can be. So you lost or something? A teenager really shouldnt be wandering alone around here.
Shocked Marissa quickly tried to deny it, What are you talking about, Im twenty one. Besides even if I werent thats hardly any of your business.
True, Shane laughed. Just curious I guess. Like I said not to safe. Nice meeting you.
Marissa, my names Marissa Cooper, she frowned suddenly not wanting the stranger to go.
Well, Marissa, like I said, nice meeting. Ill see you around, Shane smiled lightly and started to walk away.
Wait, Shane, right? I, um, you must know a lot of people right, I mean if youve slept with so many, Marissa blushed.
I know a few, Intrigued Shane glanced back. Why? Looking for someone?
Digging through her purse Marissa pulled out a photo of herself and Alex taken slightly before the brake up, Have you ever seen her around? Her names Alex Kelly.
Shes cute, Shane frowned trying to figure out why the face seemed so familiar. I think I met her once. Didnt have the purple hair thing though.
Was it recent, Marissa looked up hopefully.
Nah if thats the same girl it was about a year ago, Shane took a swig of beer watching the girls face in front of her fall. I think I know someone who might know where she is now. Its worth a shot, if you want to try anyway.
Jumping up Marissa grabbed Shanes arm and pulled her towards the exit, Oh thank you so much, lets go.
Tossing a few bucks on the table, Shane let the excited girl drag her out of the bar. The girl was cute, but far to young for her tastes, not that this fact had stopped her before. Still, for some reason or another, Shane was unwilling to even attempt to seduce her. She brought out an unnerving protectiveness in Shane normally reserved only for Alice, Dana, Tina, Bette, Kit, and Marina. Besides she seemed a little hung up on this Alex girl. If she remembered correctly, this Alex girl proved to be a pretty good lay even if she was a little inexperienced.

to everyone wondering about alex/marissa:
alex was a new character in the oc introduced to date seth cohen (one of the main characters) however, they broke up. later on, seth find’s out that alex’s ex is coming to town, and her ex is a girl. around this time, marissa starts to hang out with alex (who is the manager of a club at a very young age, 18? 19?) and since alex is rebellious and marissa is a snotty girl who is trying to “defy her parents” she skips school a lot and hangs out with alex. there is a lot of sexual tension and alex wants marissa, and they’ll probably kiss in next week’s episode. i assume that Lizzy1321 is going on the assumption that they get together eventually and date.

Very interesting start. And Like Aceofhearts I need to be fill in on Alex/Marissa story. Didn’t whatch the OC, always forgot to tune in. I’m waiting for the next update.
