    Bette and Tina, 3 months after the end of Season 2.

    When Bette and Tina had made love at Tina’s apartment after the sonogram, Bette had again handed over all control to Tina, and Tina had never felt like she had a more direct connection to Bette’s innermost feelings, to her soul, as she did that day. Without any need for words, Bette had communicated her love for Tina, her remorse for her affair, her grief for the loss of their unborn son, and an unyeilding willingness to do anything Tina asked to try and make things right between them. And now Tina knew that she could never again let Bette have complete control, no matter how much she fought for it.

    Tina placed Bette’s hands at her sides.

    “Leave those there.” She firmly instructed. Tina looked into Bette’s eyes, and the fiery gaze looking back at her told Tina that Bette may or may not be able to do as she was told. Their eyes remained locked as Tina traced her fingers down Bette’s shoulders, over her breasts, and behind her back. She unfastened Bette’s bra, slid it down Bette’s arms, allowing her carefully manicured nails to scrape lightly over them. Bette let out a soft moan of approval.

    Tina finally broke eye contact and leaned away from Bette, as she slowly moved her stare along the curves of Bette’s body, settling on her now exposed breasts. Tina placed a hand under each breast, cupping and slightly squeezing, and drawing a soft whimper from Bette. She used her index fingers to begin tracing circles around Bette’s nipples, watching as they hardened in anticipation of her touch. Tina softly grazed the nipples with her warm fingertips, sending electric shocks through Bette’s entire body. Tina applied more pressure, slowly and torturously pinching and rolling Bette’s nipples between her thumbs and index fingers. Tina looked back up to Bette’s eyes, which were now closed, her breathing shallow and erratic.

    Tina kissed Bette on the cheek, silently begging her to open her eyes. Bette complied, and Tina was greeted by an even more intense fire burning into her. Still working Bette’s nipples between her fingers, Tina leaned in as though she was about to whisper in Bette’s ear. Instead, she took Bette’s ear lobe in her mouth, sucking gently, then withdrawing her lips, blowing softly on the moisture left behind. Tina inhaled deeply, feeling slightly intoxicated by the scents of Bette’s perfume and shampoo mingling together. Tina began an assault of slow, soft, wet kisses down Bette’s neck, gently sucking, then blowing over the wetness, the changes in temperature driving Bette wild. Bette gasped, but still said nothing, silently allowing Tina to reacquaint herself with every inch of Bette’s body, which to Bette, felt like it was now fully engulfed in flames.
