Chapter 1. At first it isn’t what you realise

Shane: Yes Sir what can I get you?

Young man: Jus a hot dog, no sauce

Young man stares at Shane with ignorance, Shane walks to the hot dog stand and grabs a hot dog, and Carmen is standing at the back of the stand prepping the hot dogs up

Shane: ignorant fuck

Carmen smiles and looks up, it’s the first time Shane and Carmen have spoken

Carmen: No please or thank you, I take it?

Shane looks up at Carmen and their eyes meet for the first, Shanes smiles as she feels herself blush and thinks to herself ‘wow where did she pop  up from’.

Shane walks back to the counter and roughly passes him his hot dog

Shane: your welcome arsehole

Manager: Shane don’t push your luck you’re already on your last warning.

Shane: well I was due my break about 2 hours ago and in case you had forgotten I smoke and I do get bad tempered.

Shane smiles as her manager waves her off for her break

Jenny is sitting around a table with her co-employees eating her dinner

Jenny: I’ve been a dyke, been there, and done that got the freaking t-shirt.

Paul: what made you turn back?

Jenny: if you mean by that, what made me turn straight, I’m not I like, well let’s just say I like the best of both worlds

As finishing her conversation she looks Shane Straight in the eye

Shane: greed that’s what I’d call it

Jenny turns to look at Paul and mumbles under her breath: I bet she wouldn’t turn me down.

Carmen walks through the crew room and greets everyone as she enters; the only place for her to sit is next to Jenny.

Jenny: hello Carmen, u looked pissed off, have we had a bad

Jenny knows Carmen’s had a bad day because of her. Jenny smiles at Carmen as Carmen takes her seat next to jenny and stares into her dark nasty brown eyes.

Carmen: no jenny I’m fine just had a late night, I see your as sharp as usual

Jenny: well you know if I want to get my managers job I have to keep an eye on everyone
