    We could always elope

    By the time that Tina and Kit returned to the table the party had grown.  Tasha, Jenny, Max and Helena had joined the party.  Tina was a bit startled to find the whole crew together.  She looked quickly at Bette to assess how she was dealing with the sudden party that seemed to be unfolding.  Angelica was safe in her arms and the two of them seemed engrossed in their own world. 

     

    Angelica said something which made Bette laugh and as she threw her head back in laughter their eyes met.  Bette must have alerted Angelica to her presence because Angelica looked back spied her and came at her full throttle. “Mama” Angelica held her hand and tugged her along.  “Momma Bumblebee said we can plant strawberry tomorrow.  Strawberry good with pancakes.”  Angelica smiled her love of both foods apparent.  Momma said you teach us how to plant strawberries.”  Angelica watched her intently. 

     

    “Hum” Tina pretended to think hard.  “Ok, I can do that.”

     

    “Yeah” Angelica jumped up and down.  “We plant strawberries.”  She flashed her Porter smile and Tina wondered how long it would take her to crumble if the two of them really decided to join forces and lobby for the dog they both wanted. 

     

    Almost as if she read her mind Angelica climbed into her lap and said “Maybe we should get a dog to protect the strawberries.”

     

    “Not a good idea” Tina answered quickly, “dogs love to eat strawberries and then the dog would be in trouble all the time.”

     

    “Oh” Angelica sounded disappointed.  She couldn’t think fast enough to counter Tina’s argument.  She leaned back in Tina’s arms and held her Momma B’s hand. 

     

    No where was the effect of their reconciliation more evident than with Angelica.  She was clearly delighted to be with both her Moms all the time.  She was more outgoing and confident both at home and in public.

     

    The three of them had their heads together too long for Alice who hated to be left out of anything. 

     

    “Earth Daughter, let’s plan a party.”  She called to Angelica.

     

    Angelica’s head popped up and she smiled at Alice.  “Party” she nodded “with lots of soda and cake?”

Bette threw her a look telling her that her message was received and it was indeed on.” Wow!!!     7. This chapter was amazing! There is a part of me who hates Jodi but a part that feels for her. I really believe she loved Bette in her own way and doesn’t know what to do with all that emotion. This chapter was so perfect, I can’t wait to read more!

    9. Love it, love it, love it. …”quick and dirty “…deserves an NC-17 follow-up. Someone should have just slapped Jodi and threw her out. she did not deserve for them to accept her apology and I for ne don’t believe it was heartfelt, the girl has no heart. Just my own opinion.Okay? You are doing fine with this story and I love it the second time around. PPS

    10. I loved the update Kelika and agree in part with Dainty that Jodi doesn’t deserve absolution for what she did. Yes Bette hurt her (something that Jodi has also done to many a woman), but she did not try to publicly humiluate and distroy her personally and professionally. And this is something that Shane shouldn’t over look, having hurt a many heart in her past. I loved Kit’s reaction. PPS :o).

    17. Loved this from the very beginning,hadn’t stopped yet. Shane and Kit are two wonderful people.They will fight for Bette in a minute and tell her if she is wrong. Jodie could learn a lot from everyone at that table.even Angie. thanks
