FORCE of NATURE
“You’re not allergic are you?” Tina asked. ‘SHIT! She is allergic!’ She assumed by the expression on the brunette’s face. ‘What am I doing?’
“I’ll just go put them back in my car so you won’t be bothered by…” Tina rambled off punctuating her nervous state with exaggerated hand movement.

Laney: u got a Xanax to drop in Blondie’s wine?
Patti: LOL! No, but we have cases of vino, I’ll keep it flowing!

Bette began by shaking her head slowly ‘no’ with an endearing smile, but Tina was too discomposed to notice subtlety. “Tina… Tina, its okay… I’m not allergic to lilies.” She said gently.
Tina froze a moment. ‘I’m an idiot!’ She blushed with embarrassment and dropped her head with continued self-berating. ’Pull yourself together you ditz! How challenging is it to give someone flowers?!’
Taking in a deep breath, Tina looked up and met Bette’s eyes. Starting over, she brought the lilies halfway between her and the brunette. “They’re from Anthony.” She managed to say without stammering. “Well… they’re from both of us, actually…” She began to explain as Bette accepted the bouquet.
Tina brought the hand that had been freed from its hold on the lilies up and tucked her loose hair behind her ear. “Anthony had picked the prettiest daylilies from the garden and instructed me to give them to you… I hate that they wilt so quickly without sun, he really had selected the most brilliant blooms…” Tina said gaining confidence in a topic of her son’s sweet behavior. “Anyway, I matched them as best I could with these.” She concluded with a point of her hand to the velvet red Asiatic lilies.
Bette had watched the awkwardness drift away from the blonde’s demeanor as she spoke of Anthony. It was something they shared and she understood it within herself as the unconditional love for their children. No matter the self-crisis, thoughts of Madie centered her in the same manner she was witnessing thoughts of Anthony did for Tina.
“They’re beautiful.” Bette said adoringly as she dropped her eyes from the blonde to the lilies for a moment. Looking back to Tina, she spoke capturing the gaze of the hazel eyes. “Please tell Anthony thank you and that lilies are my favorite flower.”

Yeah, Porter, ask her to dance! I like how Bette’s opening up a bit. I think since Bette met Tina, she’s able to see what the real deal is, but she’s going to have to be patient… As am I for the next post. Thank you for the chapter. Cheers, sk! :)
Nervous Tina is so adorable! Good luck with your blade repair! ‘Tis the season…I’m off to replace the spark plug on my mower (a relatively simple task, in comparison)!

Thank you Sunkissed. I love this story. they both just turned into nervous nellies over the bouquet and Tina talking to herself was so sweet, just adorable, in fact, all of them are, including the children. Hope Bette asks her to dance before too long. They do fit so nicely together. Great chapter. Thanks for posting. PPS
Although Tina blushed a zillion times per second, she still managed to ask the right questions. I guess she will work miracles when more at ease…! And when she gets confident…(should avoid thinking about that right now-too bothering..off to work).
I am absolutely loving this story. I see that there is another chapter waiting for me to read it. I love how the other characters are adding to the storyline.
