Its bedtime. Bette and Tina are having second thoughts about the birthday cakes. AJ and JT have finally stopped bouncing off the walls. Next year sugarless cakes. Tucking their precious wonders into bed. Bette and Tina are saying their prayers for them.

Bette: Just kiddin T. Hey Jordan liked it. Did you hear him laughing just then.

Tina: Bette, I’m really starting to worry about you.

Tina: (laughing) You and Jordan talking and having a gibberish conversation. I swear I think you understand what hes saying.

Tina: I was being sarcastic.

Bette: Oh ok. Hey my lil Amy Jo where did you go? There you are sitting on a star.

Tina: Honey, are you every going to put them to sleep instead of playing with them. Youre baby over here needs to be rocked to sleep too.

Bette: Gosh I’m sorry T. I’m just so excited about them turning one today. I really had the best time. Didnt you?

Tina: Yes, actually, I really did. We certainly have the best family in the world.

Bette: Dang you know what?

Tina: What?

Bette: I forgot Stacey is due soon. We better give her a baby shower fast before she pops.

Tina: Oh no. I cannot believe I forgot. Shes as big as a house, but with the birthday planning and all I just plum forgot. I’m so glad you reminded me. Ill call the girls in the morning and then Whit about when would be a good time. Its really important ya know. To have one I mean.

Bette: Do you hate that you didnt.

Tina: Honestly, I do yes. I know its just an ole tradition, but I really would have liked one.

Bette: Well, they can always throw you one next time. (giggle)

Tina: OH ***** no. No more babys for me. We have our hands full enough as it is.

Bette: True. Ok, I’ll be there in a minute.

Walking into the bedroom Bette looked around for Tina. She noticed the patio door leading to the pool was ajar. As she looked out over the pool she saw the most beautiful thing in the world. Tinas naked body was such an amazing sight it took Bettes breath away. The moon shining down on her beautiful body allowing Bette to see very curve. Tina’s now very tone body from running again since the twins were older. Bette couldnt help the fire that built up inside her as she gazed out upon her lovely wife.

Bette was standing next to the pool. Tina felt her presence and opened her eyes. Join me babe, Tina said then reaching out her hand.

Bette lowered her very naked body into the pool and pulled Tina toward her for a kiss. Bette looked into Tina’s eyes and smiled at her. “Wrap your legs around me B….” Bette placed her arms around Tinas neck and her legs around her hips.

Tina looked into Bettes eyes again. “Amazing…you’re just so beautiful.” Tina placed her right hand on the back of Bettes head. She pulled her head forward so that it was resting on her shoulder. “I just need to hold you for awhile B. Just stay like this for awhile ok?”

Tina held Bette tight. Tina felt Bettes body relax, she felt her surrender to her touch, to her embrace. Tina moaned softly into Bettes ear. Bette raised her head from Tinas shoulder and looked at her. “Are you ok Baby?”

Tina: Yes, I’m fine. Just the smell of your body, I cant help myself. Ive missed us. So busy with the twins. I I just cant imagine I could ever let one single day go by without wanting you. Touching you like this.

Bette: I want you too, T. Its just Sometimes, I feel like I come second.

Tina: Babe, you are never second place. You are my first, last and forever. Always. We just need to find more time for ourselves. Weve fallen into the same ole same ole like we were years ago.

Bette: I know, T. Every day its the same thing. Wake up, dress and feed the twins together, but then shower alone. Cant we figure out a way to tie them down or something so we can shower together sometimes. (giggling)

Tina: Well, their playpen would work if we could bolt it down to the floor. I swear I cant figure out how our lil escape artist do it. (giggling)

Bette: Yea I wish I had Bette skills at fixing things.

Tina: Like the carpenter?

Bette: Yeah. Smartass!.. (laughing)

Tina: Well we can think about all that tomorrow. Right now I want me and you time.

Bette: I want that too honey.

Moving over towards the side of the pool, Tina lowered Bettes legs so she was leaning against the pool wall.

Tina…I….” Bette was having a difficult time expressing her thoughts. Tina continued looking into her eyes. Tears were now streaming down Bette’s cheeks. Tina kissed them away…

“Baby…I love you. Please tell me what’s going on with you.” Tina said as she leaned in and kissed Bette on her lips. Then raised back to look into Bettes eyes again.

Bette: Tina.youve Youve never held me like this before.

Tina: You mean in my arms holding you instead of you holding me like that.

Bette: Yes. It felt so Like I.

Tina: Gave up control?

Bette: Yes, but more than that. I mean I.. I feel safe, loved and cared for but this.. Something about the way I wrapped my arms around you, the way I felt my legs around your hips. Just something about letting you hold me that way. I felt different. It felt stronger. I felt cherished.

Tina: Cherished?

Bette: I know I’m not making any sense. Its hard to explain. Ive never let you hold me like that and now.

Tina: And now?

Bette: Well now I’m thinking. God, why didnt I.

Tina: Bette, now you know how I have always felt when you held me in that position. The most important thing for you to understand is that it is not about giving up control. It is about love.

Bette: T?

Tina: Yeah babe.

Bette: Can we finish the conversation in bed. I really love this, but I’m getting kinda cold.

Tina: Oh and I thought from the look of your beautiful breast that you were just happy to see me.

Both were laughing now as they left the pool arm in arm heading for bed.

Sunday morning:

The baby monitor replaced the alarm clock a long time ago. The sun was shining in through their room as they stretched and yawned trying to wake up. Tina crawling out of Bettes arms left Bette felling cold.

Bette: Ahhh baby come back to bed. Let them fix their own breakfast.

Tina: You wish. No I wish.. (laughing) Come on babe. Once we get them settled we have a shower to take together.

Bette: Wahoo!!! (jumping out of bed chasing Tina into the twins room)

Tina began to breast feed AJ while Bette changed Jordan.

Bette: HA!!!! You missed me Jordan. See Mom’s not so dumb after all. You havent peed on me in a month. No you havent. No sir my lil man.

Tina: Yeah, it only took you a year to remember to keep him covered. I was beginning to think you were into that S&M peeing thing.

Bette: HEY NOW!!! Eeewww thats to gross to think about.

Finally Tina was able to stop laughing at the adorable face Bette was making at just the thought of her statement.
