The Investigation went on into the early morning hours. Bryan Lewis was 17 years old. His Father having committed suicide, Bryan blamed Bette. It all made sense to Detective Clements now. She collected Bettes statement then Whits. There was no doubt Bette acted in self defense and was released. After cutting the brake lines, shooting Whit and now attempted murder on Bette. The cases would be closed.

Jennifer hearing the call over her police radio went over to stay with Tina. By the time Bette got home Tina had already been asleep in bed for hours and she found Jennifer asleep on the couch in the family room.

Bette tip toed in to the bathroom so she wouldnt wake Tina. She wanted to get her clothes off before Tina saw the dried blood all over them. Placing them in a plastic bag Bette jumped in the shower. When she was done she took the bag into the kitchen putting it in the trash to take out later.

Crawling into bed completely exhausted Bette wrapped her arms around Tina as tightly as she could. Bette whispered I love you; its over baby before falling sound asleep.

Later that morning Bette woke to find the bed empty. She walked into the kitchen to find Tina feeding the twins lunch with a little help from Jennifer.

Tina: Good morning sleepy head. How are you feeling?

Bette: I’m good thanks. Jennifer, thank you for being here last night. I cant tell you how much I appreciate it.

Jennifer: So what happened? Was he the one? Its over right?

Bette looked down at Tina seeing the look in her eyes. Tina had been living with such fear since that day she was drugged. Bette knew the kid didnt do this to Charles and Tina. She knew that Tina never filed a police report either. So there never was an investigation of that. Bette only had Peggy’s guys working on it. The doctor said Charles had been so drugged that there was no way he could have been apart of it. But who did it?

Bette: Yes, its over. Detective Clements closed the cases with Lewis as the suspect. Its over.

Tina jumped up from her seat grabbing Bette into her arms. Oh thank god Bette, its over. Were safe. Tina said feeling as if she couldnt let go. Bette held her tightly in her arms knowing it wasn’t over yet. Tina wasnt safe until she knew who had done this to Tina. Their embrace was broken when Jordan decided to nail his sister in the face with his applesauce. Bringing Bette and Tina back to reality.

Bette: Hey lil buddy. That wasnt nice.

Tina: Bette. I’m sorry but I just thought of something. (cleaning Amy Jos face) You need to tell Shane. Shes been so worried since the accident and feeling awful about wrecking the SUV.

Bette: Yea youre right. Let me get dressed and some coffee and Ill go next door and tell her.

Jennifer: Good, Shane needs to hear it wasnt her fault. While you do that Ill help Tina finish up with the kids so we can get started with her session today.

After getting dressed Bette went into the family room interrupting Jennifer and Tina from Tinas session. I’m sorry; I just wanted to let you know I was leaving. Bette said as she leaned down and placed a loving kiss on Tinas lips. The guys are outside and Joe is in the Kitchen ok. Charles and I will be next door if you need me. Again kissing Tina sweetly before leaving.

Bette knocked on the door and then entered knowing Shane was still in a cast. She found Shane watching TV lying on the couch.

Shane: Bette, hey. Wow its so good to see you. Where have you been lately?

Bette: (sitting down) We caught the guy last night Shane. It was my doctors son out for revenge. Seems his father killed himself after my lawyer cost him his job and medical license.

Shane: Wow, thats heavy. So its over. You and Tina are safe now. How come you still have Charles with you?

Bette: Shane first let me reassure you that wrecking the SUV was never your fault. The brakes were cut and you my friend are lucky to be alive. So just so we are clear on that.

Shane: Yeah, were clear. Thanks for paying for my medical bills.

Bette: Hey Id do anything for you. You know that. Besides the accident was meant for me not you. Its the least I could do for my best friend.

Shane: OK so you didnt answer me.

Bette: Answer what?

Shane: Why are Charles and his crew still here??

Bette: Oh that.

Shane: Yea, that

Bette: Shane. Its not You cant tell anyone this Shane. I mean it. Its not over.

Shane: What!!!?

Bette: It wasnt the kid. He didnt do this to Tina. Some one else did and I think I have a pretty good idea who.

Shane: HELENA!!

Bette: Ssshh. Yes Helena. Now I just have to prove it. I dont want Charles or his team knowing. I know hes not involved but I also know he would stop me from going after her for my own safety.

Shane: Thats true. But Bette how do you know it was Helena?

Bette: Right before Tina and Charles were drugged, Helena came to visit Tina at her office.

Shane: OK but that still doesnt prove that it was ***** on Wheels that did it.

Bette: After Charles returned he told me that the last thing he remembers was coffee and Helena and Tina passing out in the Hummer.

Shane: So. How does that prove it was Helena?

Bette: The coffee cups that were found in the Hummer tested positive for GHB. The same thing they were drugged with.

Shane: No *****!

Bette: I ***** you not. So we have Helena there, coffee, then drugged.

Shane: Yeah, but did anyone see her come in with the coffee or go near it?

Bette: Gawd, I hadnt that about that. CHRIST!!!

Shane: What? What is it?

Bette: You just knocked me back to square one.

Shane: I’m sorry. I was only trying to help.

Bette: Oh no I’m not mad at you Shane. I’m just so frustrated. Someone hurt the love of my life. I wasnt there to protect her even having a bodyguard. I dont know if she was raped or not and Shane its killing me.

Shane: Bette. I understand you want to catch whoever hurt Tina. Protect her and all, but does it really matter whether she was raped or not. I mean you love her no matter what right?

Bette: Oh god yes. I mean look what she did for me after Candace raped me. She never once turned her back on me or rejected for what happened. I would never do that to her either. I love her so much Shane. I just want to help her but I dont know how.

Shane: Bette, just by loving her and understanding what she went through. That fact that she honestly doesnt remember all of it. I just know that has got to be blowing her mind and yours. But youre there for her and thats all that matters Bette.

Bette: Shane I know youre right, but it still doesnt change the fact that I wasnt there to protect her or you. I’m having a really hard time knowing the people I love so much were hurt because of me. Well you were that I know of. I dont know who the ***** did this to Tina. But I will find out. That much I swear. And when I do..

Shane: When you do Bette youre gonna let the cops handle it. The last thing Tina needs or we need is you leaving us because of getting arrested. OK.

Bette: Yea youre right. I am just so pissed off right now. I thought it was over with that boy dying.

Shane: Hes dead?

Bette: Sorry. I didnt tell you thought part did I? He had a knife. We fault and he lost.

Shane: WOW!!! Does Tina know?

Bette: Not yet. I got in so late and then Jennifer was still here this morning. Now Tinas in session with her. I figured Id tell her later tonight.

Shane: Thats cool. Just so you tell her. Hey can you do me a favor?

Bette: Sure anything.

Shane: Carmen should be here shortly but I could really use some water and my pain medicine.

Bette: Absolutely. Where is it, in the kitchen or?

Shane: Yea, its sitting on the counter next to the sink.
Bette gives Shane her meds and returns home. Seeing that Tina still isnt finished, she checks on the twins. They are still taking their afternoon nap. Heading outside to the pool with Charles and Joe. Bette decided to talk this out with them after all. Joe sends two others guards inside with Tina and the children then takes a seat.

Bette: We still have a problem. The boy last night was not the same person that possibly attacked Tina and drugged you Charles. He confessed everything to Whit but said he didnt rape Tina. Hed never met her. Whit believed him. So we have a problem.

Charles: So you still want us here I assume. Even if you didnt I’m not going any where.

Joe: Me either.

Bette: Guys I really appreciate that. No I dont want you to leave either. Not until we catch this son of a *****. What I do want. What I need is to figure out how you and Tina were drugged?

Charles: Weve been back tracking the coffee. It was delivered like always from Starbucks. Only this time no one recognized the person that brought it. They just assumed it was a new employee.

Joe: But, when we went to the store and described the person to the owner. No one matched. He said there was no order for delivery that day either. So..

Bette: So someone else delivered the drugged coffee. But only yours and Tinas were drugged. No one else. That someone had to know what you drank. That you both drank the same thing.

Charles: Actually we dont drink the same. Tina always gets a Caramel Macchiato and I always get a Cinnamon Spice Mocha. (Lowering his head a bit embarrassed)

Joe: Yea a foo foo drink. (laughing)

Charles: Youre one to talk Mr. Faggy britches.

Joe and Charles are laughing at this but Bette has a strange look on her face.

Charles: Oh no. She didnt know.

Joe: Dont tell me Porter your Gaydars broken? You mean you didnt know?

Bette: No actually I didnt. I mean youre so So HUGE! Ok that was a stupid thing to say. Oh no dont tell me you have a nipple ring?

Joe: No I dont but I thought about it. I’m really not out and all though.

Charles: Oh hes out enough. Different guy every weekend. (laughing)

Joe: Smartass! Bette, its like the movie Victor/Victoria. If youre ***** and you dont wanna get beat up you become a rough tuff football player. So I did. Now I work for Charles.

Bette is laughing so hard at these two she cant catch her breath. OK, OK. Gawd, I feel like Ive got two set of twins now. Lets get back to business.

Charles: He started it.

Joe: Did not.

Bette: GUYS!!! Dont even go there. Ill have to deal with that soon enough once AJ and JT get older. Seriously now. Getting back to the coffee.

Bette and the guys talk this over while Tina is inside with Jennifer.

Jennifer: Tina its ok. Just let it go honey. Dont hold it in. (holding Tina)

Tina: Its just that I remember more but it feels so much like a dream. Oh Jennifer what am I going to do if it really happened? What if I remember it all one day? Sometimes it seems so real. I just I could never tell Bette. Not this. It would kill her if she knew. I mean how I could act like I enjoyed it. How could I? I love Bette.

Jennifer: Tina whether it is a dream or really happened. It wasnt your fault. That drug is so powerful. Once it was in your system you lost all control. Thats how it works. Thats why a rapist uses it. They dont want a passed out stiff. The drug makes you respond in ways you would never ever think of. Remember what you said Dr. Wilson told you about the drug. Its make you feel relaxation, tranquility, sensuality, and loss of inhibitions. Thats why it happen Tina. Not because you wanted it to. This was completely against your will.

Tina: I know Jennifer. I just cant make it stop.

Jennifer: Make what stop?

Tina: The images in my head. I havent been able to make love to my wife since this happened. Bette has been so wonderful and understanding but shes only human. I dont know how much longer she can hold out. I just so afraid she might look elsewhere for comfort.

Jennifer: Tina you know Bette would never do that. She loves you way to much.

Tina: I know its just so So hard. I want to make love to her. I want us together. But every time she touches me. I see these things in my head. I can feel someone else ***** me. I feel them hurting me, then I remember parts of it and it makes me sick.

Later that night after everyone had been asleep for hours Tina began to stir. Bette woke up when she felt Tinas hips moving against her thigh. This aroused Bette seeing that it had been over a month.

Bette: (whispering) Tina, Tina. What is it Baby? Tell me what you want?

Tina: Bette. Please I need you.

Bette felt Tinas breath against her neck and this drove her crazy. She felt the throbbing between her legs growing stronger and stronger each time Tina moved her center against Bette. Bette turned slightly with their legs intertwined and kissed Tina sweetly on her neck. Tina let out a soft moan into Bettes ear. Bette felt Tinas hand take hold of her hand and placed it inside her panties. Baby, are you sure? Bette asks concerned that Tina wasnt really ready for this.

Tina: Yes, I need you Bette. Please.

Bette could never take that sound of Tinas voice. No matter what she was doing or even if she was mad at Tina. That sound in her voice made Bette melt and she would do anything Tina ask of her.

Bette caresses Tina for just a moment just in case she changed her mind or wanted Bette to stop. When Tina didnt stop her Bette slowly let her fingers gently stroke Tinas *****. Tinas hips began thrusting against Bette hand. Please Bette. I need you inside me. Tina whispered softly. Bette began kissing Tinas neck as she enters Tina slowly with two fingers. Within seconds Tinas body is thrusting and shes moaning louder and louder. Bette knew Tina was close and curled her fingers up inside Tina to her special spot. As she did this it sent Tina over the edge as Bette could feel her powerful ***** take over. Bette just held on. Tina stated yelling Bettes name as the ***** began to slow. Bette felt like this was a horrible nightmare. She just made love to her wife for the first time in over a month. How stupid could I have been Bette thought. God help me. She was asleep. DREAMING.. Oh god what did they do to her.

Bette held Tina as tight as she could but began shaking her shoulders. Tina baby wake up. Tina its Bette. Baby wake up. Ive got you honey. Its a dream Tina. Youre having a bad dream baby. Tears rolling down Bettes cheeks as she tried to wake Tina.

Tina had begun fighting against Bette to get away then all of a sudden she woke up screaming. NO!!! STOP YOURE HURTING ME! As Tina looked down she realized she was choking Bette. Letting go quickly and pulling Bette into her arms. Bette please baby are you OK? Bette talk to me! Did I hurt?

Bette has started coughing as soon as Tina let go. Almost at the same time Joe came busting in the room with his weapon drawn. Bette sat up in bed and motioned for him to leave. Once he saw that they were ok he backed out. Bette couldnt talk. She got up out of bed and put her robe on. Turning back to look at Tina with her face buried in the pillow crying her heart out. I’m sorry Bette. I dont know what happened. Tina said crying harder now. Bette sat down beside Tina. In a raspy voice Bette caressed Tinas face. Its ok baby. Its ok. I’m alright. You just had a bad nightmare and it frightened you. I need to get some water and Ill be right back ok. Bette said as it hurt so bad to speak.

Walking into the kitchen to get some water. Joe sat there with his head lowered.

Joe: Bette I’m so sorry. I I.. heard but I thought you were.. I

Bette: Its ok Joe. I did to. She was having a nightmare.

Joe: Is she ok. Are you ok?

Bette: Yea I’m fine. I dont know about Tina though. Listen I’m heading back to bed ok. Night.

Joe: Night Bette. Sorry.

Bette: Its ok Joe really.

Bette went back to bed taking Tina a glass of water. It took hours to get Tina calmed down and back to sleep. Bette however couldnt. All she could think of was what happened. She thought Tina wanted her. She never thought for a second Tina was asleep. Not until she screamed. Oh god. She screamed my name and then help me, Bette. This was tearing every part of Bettes heart to pieces. She wasnt there to save Tina. Now she knew. She knew it really happened. Bette knew someone raped her wife.
