As Tina felt the bed shift she looked back to see Bette awake and looking at her.
“Oh hey, I tried not to wake you…I just really need to pee” she said as she stood up, giving the brunette a small smile.
“It’s ok” Bette said quietly as she watched Tina make her way towards the bathroom. She bit her lip and looked down at her hands as she tried to figure out what to say to the blonde. She knew Tina must have heard what she said last night and she hated the fact that she had let it slip out, she couldn’t lose Tina but she knew that the blonde was probably freaked out by her confession.
She carefully watched Tina as she walked back into the room, still clad in the same clothes she had worn last night. Tina walked up to the bed and sat down, avoiding eye contact with Bette.
“Tina…I’m sorry for last night” Bette said quietly.
“What are you sorry for?” Tina asked quietly as she finally looked up at the brunette. She held her breath waiting for the brunette to answer. A part of her wanted Bette to say that she was sorry for saying “I love you” and that it didn’t mean anything but another part of her wished for Bette’s confession of love to be true.
Bette swallowed as she looked into Tina’s eyes “I’m sorry for being drunk and touching you when you didn’t want me to”
Tina closed her eyes and took a deep breath “It’s not like I didn’t want you to touch me Bette…”
“I’m not sorry for saying that I love you” Bette interrupted Tina.
Tina’s eyes were glistening with tears as she opened them to look at Bette, she opened her mouth to say something but nothing came out.
“I love you Tina” Bette said softly.
“Bette…” Tina whispered as tears started rolling down her cheeks.
“Tina…I wasn’t supposed to tell you…it just slipped out last night but now I’m glad that it did” Bette started “I want you to know that I love you…I don’t expect you to love me back…I just want you to know that you have someone who love you and cherish you”
Tina looked up at Bette as tears kept rolling down her cheeks. She could see the love in Bette’s eyes as she looked at her and she felt her heart beat faster. She moved closer to Bette, gently stroking the brunette’s cheek as she kept looking into her eyes. Bette seemed surprised by the action but stayed still as Tina lovingly looked into her eyes.
