From Afar
“Oh well when it comes to art, the Peabody Foundation Stamp
means it is an original piece of work that was commissioned by the Foundation
and is the soul property of the foundation.
But James we haven’t commissioned any work for the last few years. Not since
asks thinking James is mistaken.
“MOCA, the work is by an artist name Richard Cramit.” James
supplies as the inconsistency is exciting him.
“Oh you must have been mistaken James, he isn’t anyone on
our list of approved artists.” Jane responds.
“Really then how would the stamp have gotten on his work?”
James asks.
“It wouldn’t. I’m
telling you that there is some sort of mistake here. I think you have it wrong James.” Jane says
in an authoritative voice.
“Well you’re probably right.
I must have gotten it wrong.” James says barely able to contain his
excitement. Wishing Jane a good weekend
James couldn’t get her off the phone fast enough as he slammed his hand down to
terminate the call and immediately began dialing. “Come on Bette, pick up.” James says as
Bette’s cell rolls over to voicemail.
“Bette, James, call me I just found out the most interesting
information .”
Chapter 102 – Life Keeps Going On
Jack had to rush in order to get to the judge’s chamber in
the time he was granted. He had been
fortunate to get on the calendar of one of the judges he liked appearing
before, Judge Jackson Russell. Having
quickly written the argument for the restraining order to cover the photographs
it was his objective to receive the order and then personally deliver it to the
artist’s exhibit at MOCA yet today. That
way he would be killing two birds with one stone. Assuring the photos where covered away from
the public and also viewing them for his own benefit as he will probably need
that knowledge when they proceed in court.
Running into a few colleagues as he makes his way into Judge
Russell’s chambers, Jack quickly greets and moves on, as he doesn’t want to be
late. As he enters Jack is surprised to
see another attorney there. Judge
Russell is a no nonsense kind of judge who doesn’t look too pleased by the
presence of the other attorney.

You have perfect pacing on the ebb and flow of this story…just what we need, thankyou for your attention to detail…waiting more as usual!!!
Great update….I like how Shane and Irene have connected and I hope she gets to stay.
I am looking forward to the courtroom drama….I have a feeling, its gonna be goooooood!
the right sentence is.. i love happy chapters..lol
as always gracious. it will be my pleasure to meet you. have good tidbits of info for you.
this story so warms my heart. and makes my mind work overtime. love how you paint all of the characters. each is so different in the voice you give them. not looking forward to the end of this. BUT if you have another one in the works then its ok. cant live without my jwet fix. thanks.
Hey Thanks for posted again it’s still wonderful Jwet LOL! Thank Gosh you’re back we are really missed you’re Story LOL! Hey I Love it Thanks!
Great chapter, I hope that they are able to corner the artist and queach the situation without a prolonged court case. I don’t think think that it would be fair for them to have to use the trust fund for this case because it would put them a losing situation even if they win the case, they lose the money and would have been put through a lot of emotional trama (Let alone puttting their private lives on display.). Jack seems to be a pretty smart cookie and it maybe better to let the picture fight ride inlue of winning the adoption war.
Is there something developing with Shane and Irene? I know that she is younger but sometimes age aint nothing but a number. Please post again soon, this story just continues to get better by the day.
Welcome back. This is one of my favorite stories. Post soon.
Hmm, that attorney for Helena was pretty smug. Was he there because someone said something out of school…or is there a mole within the ranks of MYV and B&T?
Helena may have initially thought that by dragging out a court battle that it could drive a wedge between B&T, or that it would be too much of a burden on their finances now that they have a child. She will be surprised when she finds out that Tina now has deep pockets.
Reconnecting after such sorrow can certainly aid in understanding the need to make your interludes a priority. It’s amazing how shared pain has a way with putting you both on the same page.
Tina thinks she has the only copy of the article. We have no proof yet that Alice really deleted the file on her computer. Alice’s need to be right may cloud her judgement and loyalty.
This story started out like a tiny pebble gently rolling down a hill. It has now gained both size and momentum creating an amazing spectacle that is powerful and beautiful at the same time. A great story, indeed!
I don’t know, you are making me nervous…What will happy with Alices article will she really distroy it? I think that they should let Jackie take Helena to the cleaners!
nice chapter. can’t get enough of your story
Hello Jwet: It always seems that I am the last one. But I with all the others who hope that this court case doesn’t last long and that Helena is put in her place. I’ll just sit and wait and read as to where the road will take us. Excellent as always.
GREAT CHAPTER, LOVE BETTE AND TINA!
A sand mustache? I’ve never seen one before….hee. I bet Anna is so cute with it!
It sounds like you had a wonderful, relaxing time on your vacation. Mountain Scenery are very nice. We don’t have too much here, at least not big mountain views; lots of Ocean…..
Can’t wait to see Bette’s reaction to Alice’s story. Can’t wait for James meeting with Bette and Tina and telling them about the Peabody stamp. Can’t wait for Helena to get her “just” reward. Can’t wait…..wow, I got plenty of can’t waits!
Great story……you continue to paint such a beautiful story.
Thanks for writing and sharing.
