“I think I need to go to Peggy and have a conversation with
her about Helena.  I don’t know what kind of pull I have with
Peggy anymore but I am not going to be sitting here in the coming months
beating myself up because I didn’t at least try to talk to her.  Who knows maybe she will be able to talk some
    sense into Helena.”
Bette shares with Tina her last ditch plan.

Understanding where Bette was coming from, Tina included “Do
you think if Grace’s plan pans out that Peggy will be interested enough to keep
    Helena out of
    jail?”

    “She might.  But first
I need to get an audience with her.  If
Peggy doesn’t want to see you she has a way of making any interview very
uncomfortable.” Bette says thinking of some of her encounters with Peggy.

After this both Tina and Bette just share the quietness of
the night as they each process all that they had taken in today.  As if on cue Tina asks “Babe what exactly did
    you say to Helena
    on our way out?”

Bette chuckled, she had been thinking about that same
thing.  In her best Peggy Peabody voice,
“I know what you want and you can’t have it!”

Chapter 132 – Plan Moves Ahead

Bette and Tina ended up taking Jack’s advice and stayed away
from court the following day.  Tina went
to the MYV and Bette to the CAC.  They
both immediately phone each other as soon as they reached their respective
offices.  They just needed to touch base,
a quiet reassurance for the other to know that everything was fine.  At noon Jack put them both together in a
three-way call to bring them both up to date at the same time.

Jack relayed that Richard Cramit did indeed bring in all the
photographic material.  All ten of the
pictures from MOCA were now behind wraps in the courtroom along with five
others that hadn’t made the exhibit.  In
a small box there was a CD of the digital prints, actual 4 X 6 prints that
Richard had made as well as the celluloid negatives.  Jack had immediately made his motion for time
to let his expert review the material.
Jason Wanger had vehemently opposed this request making a good counter
argument that Richard Cramit himself was an expert and as such was willing to
testify to anything Jack needed.  For the
sake of time Richard would gladly review each and every item for the court.

    1. Let’s see what Vince has dug up on Helena…and what will be revealed in Alice’s upcoming article. I like that “poetic justice-icing on the cake”! And I love see the “family” in action. Hope Bette’s appointment with the social worker goes well…that Mrs. Davis is a sneaky one….trying to trip Bette and all. Bette is so lucky to have James as her assistant…what about giving him the job to replace you, Bette? Hope your computer will behave and you will be able to post tomorrow. Thanks, J.

    2. as much as this means coming to and end of this fantastic story. i cant wait for hellno to be taken down and just f***ing bitch slapped by our girls. argh. and cant take her. love the support of james and the tender love between b/t. thanks honey.

    3. Ecellent as always….. But I am worried about one thing..Bette not be honest with Tina about being in the delivery room. It is going to come out and I think it would be better is it comes from Bette. This social worker sounds like she is on Helena’s payroll.(I hope not) But you are good with the twist.. Hope the puter is ok..and post as soon as you can..You know I love your writing..Thanks

    4. It seems like you’ve got Helena cooking on a spit roast, nothing like a slow roasting. Sounds like Mrs.Davis should be on there with her!! Lovin’ it. Hope the dogs disturb you, so we get an early chapter!!! love it

    5. Helena is a bad, bad person; coals in her stocking for christmas. Evil thy name is Helena…and who is this Mrs. Davis? Another one of the evil one’s toadies? I promise, I’ve been a very good girl…another one today? ***making a shy smile…blinking my lashes*** Thanks, Jwet, for sharing this story.

    6. I wonder what Helena is up to in the old building that Vince told Shane about. I wouldn’t be surprised if Mrs. Davis is on Helena’s payroll. I can’t wait to see how all this turns out.

    7. Everything seems to be coming along nicely, hopefully the report with the social worker, especially when the news spills out about Helena, her mother is definitely not going to be pleased, with all the back handed things she has done, can’t wait to see what happens tommorrow, hope your computer isn’t playing up. Thanks for the great work. Keep it up.

    8. Love it, loving it allllll. Can I just put my request in now before others have their go at it? Please ruin Helena and I mean the works; no money, stripped of the Peabody name and if she has to do jail time with Bertha has her cell mate. I’m all for it. I know you probably have this already worked out and all but man this would be awesome and believe me I’m not to proud to beg right now. So please pretty please with sugar on top. :-)

    9. oh god..I can’t wait for Helena to get what is coming to her. J-hope you had a great turkey day and sorry that the snow hit you. Here we get crap..wet slush. give us more….soon

    10. Wow Jwet…got caught up on one of my favorite stories and found intrigue, drama, hms, comedy and mystery all in one series. Now, if you can just do something about that pest Helena…I’ve got $5 on a hit woman who will smack her on her head everytime she does or says something mean spirited, could give her quite a headache.
