    Getting in right direction-chapter 9

“You shure you want to leave? We can talk if you want…” Shane said comforting Alice, though she knew Alice was going to leave, especially when she knew Helen was on her way over. “Thank you Shane, but I`m gonna go now…”. Alice found her car keys from her purse. “See you”.

    ****

Shane had been waiting a long while for Helen to get at work when she finally came in the door. She had really taked her time, showered, ate her breakfest slowly and danced in the livingroom like only people in love does it.

“Hi baby” Shane said while she walked over to her, using the husky voice in her ***** way. “I`m sorry I`m late Shany…” Helen fell into Shanes arms and kissed her. A little casual first, but it diddent take a long time until it became intimate and closer. “I want you now…” Helen whispered. Shane was a little surprised over Helens suggestion, but she found it extremely *****. “You can`t have me when I`m working” Shane said jokingly and kissed Helen even more hungrily. Shane pushed Helen to the cliant couch and layed herself over Helens body. Suddanly, they heard the door open behind them and Alan came in, but there was too late to play innocent. They couldent get away with this one. “What the *****?!” he yelled, obviously angry. Shane and Helen tried to hide their giggeling. “You can`t just ***** around, pretending that no one sees you…we got cliants you know!” Alan didde`t seemed to find the words. “I think It will be better if you just quit” Alan said calm, looking in Shanes direction. The giggeling quited. “What?!” Helen yelled. “Shes the best you got!….You can`t…” Helen stuttered. “Well…I need to think about this Helen. Shane go home…I`ll call you” Alan looked at her with a cold expression. Shane just stood there, incapable to say a word. She was shocked. “Don`t you think you`re overreacting…just a little?” Shane asked slowly, clearly surprised over Alans reaction. He just looked in another direction as she talked to her. “Go. NOW Shane”. Shane was now realising what just happened to her and she felt a little panic building up inside, but most of all she felt anger, and she couldent hide it, though she tried. “So ***** unfair…” she said and walked out the door as she felt Alans eyes in her neck.

“What where you thinking?” Alan asked Helen as soon as Shane was out of sight. “You know I had no choice” he continued trying to get her sympathy. Helen was still in the shocked-phase and she was angery. really angery. Immediatly, she felt an instinct to protect Shane. She got together and managed to answer him.”I`ve never seen this side of you Alan, and I have to say i`m disapointed. Youre So cold…or maby just a little tragic? she said with an expression that looked like she was going to spit in his face any minute. “You know I don`t want this Helen” He said, trying to be convinceable. “Why are you always judging people? You don`t like her because shes differen`t, and now you don`t want her around cause you think she`d made me differen`t too. Isen`t that right?” Helen was almost crying in anger. “Well Alan. You don`t know her, and you obviously don`t know me either.” Helen looked disapinted at him, and she saw that he got humble now, without saying a word. She grabbed her purse and walked fast over the floor. When she came to the door she turned to him. “Anyway Alan…If she`ll have to go, I`ll go too” she said knewing that she were in charge now, and she saw Alan got even more humble. She turned again and walked out of the door, and she felt proud. Proud when she thought of that she stood up against Alans words. It felt almost like a relief. The only thing she wanted now, was to meet Shane, and she knew that Shane needed her now.
