Goodbye My Lover, Chapter 6
You touched my heart
You touched my soul
You changed my life and all my goals
Love is blind
But that I knew and
My heart was blinded by you
I’ve kissed your lips
And held your head
Shared your dreams
And shared your bed
I know you well
I know your smell
I’ve been addicted to you
….
…And I love
I swear that’s true
I cannot live without you
James Blunt Goodbye My Lover
Joanna had lured Bette out for an evening of dancing at a club called Milk. It was oldies night where the music had words and a beat that you could move to. Come on Porter she had urged. Two friends can go out dancing and we won’t be hassled with dance invitations since we’ll appear to be together. She saw Bette hesitate given how well she moved on the dance floor Joanna knew that a stress free night of dancing would appeal to her. Ok, friend, Bette relented. I haven’t been out dancing since we all went out to The Planet.
Bette wore a low cut pair of Levi’s and a crisp white cotton shirt with the sleeves partly rolled up.
“You look great.” Joanna swallowed to wet the dryness that suddenly filled her mouth.
“Thanks. You look good too.” Bette admired the tan kaki pants and close fitting button down thermal tee that Joanna wore. The blue color only highlighted her sky blue eyes.
They both chose to drink beer as it was cold and refreshing which was needed if one planned on some serious dancing.
“So tell me about Chris.” Bette asked as they sat at a small table close to the dance floor, waiting for the music to move them to dance. Bette was intrigued by the idea of an open relationship that had lasted five years. “What does she do that she travels so much of the time?”
“Chris is a merchant marine; travel is pretty much the nature of the job. The tours last at least 21 days at a time; the good part is so do the furloughs.” Something told her not to correct Bette’s assumption that Chris was female. If the rumor mill was correct Tina had left Bette for a man. Lesbians were often critical of bisexual women. “Susan keeps me pretty busy while Chris is away.”

You go Tina. Come on Bette’s gotta go to her. Joanna sounds like a good time, but too much going on there. Bette needs Tina.
alrighty then, What a beautifully written story
Bette, go to her..
Oh lordy be, Tina is a a smooth lady. She is not going to let Bette get away from her again. I am enjoying Tina having to work hard to earn Bette back.
Got Damn Tina!! You go girl! That was so f*ckin kewl! LOL! Go get her, Bette! She’s primed and ready to go! I love the way Tina has such an all-consuming affect on Bette. Tina just throws Bette off center, just because she can. She’s got it like that!
Hope Bette goes to Tina’s place!!!
Go to her Bette!!!! Tina has to know that Bette is still in love with her if she thinks she’s dancing with another woman and calls out her name. DAMN! Go girl! I sooooo want B & T to get back together but i want Tina to work for it. I hope Joanna doesnt give up too soon b/c i like Tina getting jealous and knowing she has to work to get Bette back.
