Shane knew that the mission was almost at the end. All she had to do now was land the spaceship and she was done with the training. In the control room of the simulator one of the technicians accidentally hit a control button. A few moment later the master alarm started to buzz and Kit immediately asked, What the ***** is going on?! Sorry maam I hit the landing gear disable button by mistake. I can enable them right now, he said.

Wait, Kit said, I want to see how she will manage that one.

But normally on a solo flight training we dont use the master alarm, you need a co-pilot to be able to resolve a master alarm problem, Paul reminded Kit. She waved him away impatiently.

I know, I just want to see if she can land the spaceship without the landing gear, I want to see if shes able to not crash. I have a feeling that it could be useful to know that, Kit finished.

Shane heard the master alarm. What the ***** is that? The master alarm is not supposed to Shane stop mid sentence as she realized that it was an additional test, the unplanned test. She took a deep breath and started looking around to find out what was the problem. She knew she had very little time to find it. She was already in the landing approach. She glanced over all the possible problems, but she wasnt able to find it. She just couldnt see what the problem was. All the gages were OK and all the lights were green indicating the machine was in prime condition.

***** me, I cant find it. ***** and now I have to open the landing gear or I will crash. As she pushed the landing gear release button nothing happened. She stared at the button when she realized that that was the reason for the master alarm. They want me to crash! she said in disbelief. She took a deep breath. Ok man, you want to see how I will crash, than I have news for you guys, Im not gonna crash the spaceship. Were gonna have a nice belly landing, she said laughing.

When the spaceship hit the ground Shane lost everything on the simulator screen. She felt as if everything was shaking as if the crash had actually happened. After a few minutes, she heard the central computer say those wonderful words. No casualties Minimal damage to spacecraft. Shane sighed. It wasnt too bad for a roller coaster ride after all.
