At Tina’s desk.
hovers over behind Tina’s shoulder, “eh hmmm.”
“Christ
Bette! You scared me,” Tina blurted but continued concentrating on the screen
in front of her.”
“Tina, are you
going to lunch with the
representative?”
I going to go meet Dana and then go over some specific detail points in the
agenda.”
“Okay,
good, I will come too.”
“Are
you serious? What happened to having faith in me?”
“Well,
Yes, I want to make sure she’s crystal clear on what our company has to offer
in comparison to the competition.”
“Do
you not trust my work Bette?”
“No, I
totally trust you, its just that I have some free time and I want to get on a
personal level with
so we can smooth out future issues more easily.”
“Well,
okay we are going to that little bistro by the corner market.”
“Good, meet you there at noon.”
CHAPTER EIGHT
Bette arrived at the Bistro
a quarter-pass noon; she rushed as fast as she could to get there but the
teleconference with the company executive manager held her back. She makes her entrance and looks around the
caf for any signs of Tina, then spots her near the window booth. Bette then points to the booth and gives a
quick smile to the hostess.
“Hello Ladies” Bette said,
finding herself interrupting what seems like a giddy discussion.
“Hi. Dana, I want you to meet our branch manager,
Bette Porter, and Bette this is Dana Fairbanks, representative from
“Hello Dana, it is a
pleasure to finally meet you,” Bette extends her hand professionally.
“No, it is my pleasure; our
sales have gone up a considerable amount since we decided to use your
expertise.”
“You are too kind, Tina here
will be taking care of you from now on and I am just as sure that she will
provide your company with the same service and satisfaction that you have come
to know.”
After that, Bette takes a seat
next to Tina, forcing her to the other end of the booth. The waiter then appears and takes their lunch
orders. Dana requests the vegetarian
meal,
“Are you a vegetarian? My sister is a vegetarian,” Tina said a
little too quirky.

Girl, great chapter.. Repeat after me, *Season 3 is a bad nightmare, Season 3 is a bad nightmare* don’t let it stop your writing or change your story, . I love the play between B&T. The only way we seem to have them happy is here. And god forbid if everyone stops writing happy ones, I will have to try writing again.. Keep up the great work!!

JFreeze, I do read the happy fanfic chapters sparingly so that I can make it through the week after the dismal episodes on Sundays. I am praying that Tina will rediscover a little thing called compassion and apply it to Bette. Soooooo, please keep up your writing. This story is just what us disgruntled TiBetters need.
I’m normally not a fan of fighting (though you wouldn’t know it from my comments on other stories), but just once I want to see Bette kick someone’s ass on the show like she did here. Alice is right. Bette is being an asshole because she actually likes Tina, even if Bette doesn’t realize it yet. I’m curious to see if Bette will stay the night next to Tina and if Tina will freak out in the morning. Then they can start to fall in love and have hot office sex.
