Held in Contempt Chapters 5-7
She guided Bette’s hand lower on her body. And they soon discovered entirely new and more eloquent ways to communicate that didn’t involve words.

The phone rang with their early morning wake up call, piercing the silence of the room.
Bette answered it, exchanged a few words and replaced the receiver.
”An actual human being was on the other end,” Bette said. ”It wasn’t automated.”
”You haven’t had a wake up call at this hotel before?” Tina asked.
”This is my first time staying here,” Bette said. ”Believe it or not, last night was an aberration.”
”I wasn’t trying to imply you made a habit of hanging around hotels,” Tina stretched into a more comfortable position on the bed along the length of Bette’s body. ”Your idea for last night was borderline genius.”
”No time to consider the potential consequences?”
”No need to consider the potential consequences,” Tina clarified. ”I know you, I trust you…and you know I wanted you.”
They deepened their embrace as hands wandered intimately.
”I have to get home,” Tina whispered, the movement of her fingertips worked in contrast to her words.
”I’m not going to keep you from what you’re doing…that’s up to you,” Bette replied. ”Do you want to stop?”
”I could blame traffic?”
”Alarm didn’t go off?”
”The dog ate my homework?”
”I know, you have to go to work,” Bette sighed, even as she smiled at Tina’s classic excuse.
They reclined together quietly for a few moments before Tina spoke again.
”I feel invigorated,” Tina said. ”Your junior defence counsel won’t know what hit him.”
”You’re second chair,” Bette laughed. ”I’m not too concerned. All you get to do is look quietly stern behind the prosecutor’s table.”
”Knowing that the case was assigned to an underling gives me a degree of confidence before the case has even begun,” Tina said. ”But we shouldn’t talk about it anymore.”
”You’re right,” Bette said. ”But you started it.”
Tina swung her legs over the side of the bed and started reaching for her clothes.
”Leaving now is what I have to do to justify being here all night,” Tina said, turning to kiss her on the cheek. ”Even though I really want to stay.”
Bette’s hand started to wander again but Tina would have none of it. She rose from the bed and continued to get dressed.

So pleased to see another post.
The authenticity of the Legal Scenes is of no consequence as the Courts in the UK and the US are not the same..
I look forward to reading any of your stories and as usual completely into this one and looking forward to the next post.
Thanks jks please keep them coming.
Hi jks:
I love this story, I’ve read the one you told me amicus curiae, and it has some similarity at the beginning and I love it, but this is different, and I like this, also, very much, so clear and professional, I will be waiting for your update.
Thanks
