Bette smiled and took the keys from her,
Where are we going? Bette asked
Youll see, for now just take the coast line to interstate 10
I have a 3 oclock appointment Bette said
Tina put her sunglasses on No you dont
well I have to be at six thirty at home, Jessies sitter leave at that seven
Well that give us plenty of time Tina said sweetly smiling, Bette smiled back, it was infectious
—–
Dont you love the highway in the middle of the week in the middle of the day is like if is all to yourself Bette said almost shouting to be heard above the win blow, she was driving fast and loving it
Bette you have to turn right on that sing over there Tina pointed
They took the paved road till they ended in front of a beautiful two story beach house,
Wow this place is amazing Bette said appreciative I feel like am in the Hamptons, grass and all
Still L.A Tina said
Look at that Bette said directing her attention to a little vessel that swayed on the calm waves of the pacific almost like a vision surrounded by the reflections of the sun in the water
Yeah you always wanted one of those Tina said, Bettes heart warmed only Tina could know something like that, that one its my neighbor Martin, I could arrange for him to take us with the girls for a ride, Katie gets sea sick thats why we dont do it too often but he is offering all the time
Bette looked puzzled to Tina, but then turn her sight again to the horizon
Tina arent you scare? Because I dont think Ive ever been more frighten in my life
Tina took a moment to reply to that, not that she needed it, it was more for Bette benefit, then she calmly spoke I am Bette, but if you come to think about it…. do you think that we Could just be scare together?
Bette wasnt surprise, somehow Tina always knew the right words to get Bette, then she did it, she move her right hand and took Tinas into hers, that moment Tina felt her soul coming back to her body and dare to think there was hope for them, neither one move for what it seem the longest time, they were just standing there next to each other absorbing till the vessel was no longer in her vision range.

How sad,to lose someone you love.you fell in love with a small baby, then the mother,Bette was never IN love with Candace.but did love her How sad. Maybe the god of love will bring them back together Thanks so much for beautiful, but sad story.
Sad indeed. A lot of pain in this one. Well, things can only get better. Great job.
that was a pretty intense conversation. im glad they are getting it all out.
Poor Bette.Thank you for giving us more backstory on Candace and Jessica. No wonder Bette is so scare of getting hurt again.
At least they are making progress now. I expect there is more pain to come before there will be any happiness. Excellent chapter as usual.
Whoa.. it’s surprising. Turned out differently than I expected. Excellent!
love this story, you are making it so real, feel like i am there Thanks
ok, i was a little harsh and premature in my feelings about candace. i still think of her as the show’s homewrecker, but here in this story, she isn’t so bad. excellent job of writing and transferring the emotions from the screen to my heart strings. please continue. thanks! :)
Baby that was sad but I think it gives Bette a chance to open up to Tina…long road ahead but they will hopefully do it together…again, bravo!!!
I’m enjoying the complexity of emotions in this story. It’s complicated – like real life. Thanks.
