Of course Tina, Bette said out loud Alice matchmaking ways werent too mask.

    —

Bette parked her SUV in front the town house, it was magnificent Tina wasnt kidding when she said so, then she turned to help Jessie with her sit belt

    Mommy, whos house is this?

Alice and Danas and their new baby Carrie they are old friends of mine Bette explain

Are you sure Katie is gonna be here she asked getting restless she didnt like meet new people

Yes baby they will be here

    Okay Jessie said

Now Bette just needed a way to calm herself and all would be just fine, A knock on the window startled her

*****!! Damn Alice you scare me

    Jessie giggled

I saw you park and decide to come and get you before you run

    Whos inside?

People who love you Bette Alice said

That didnt make her feel any less nervous, Okay lets do it

    —

the door flung open but nobody was there,

They are all in the back yard

    What a house Alice

well it has its pays off be the Ms Fairbanks

I hear that Alice Dana yelled from the kitchen and came running to then drying her hand with a towel, she first smiled to Bette and then to Jessie And Who is this lovely girl?

Jessica Jewel-Porter Jessie said proud, business-like just as her mommy taught her

a grin spread trough Danas face Oh my god, she is really your daughter she said pulling Bette to a hug not giving her much of a choice actually, Am so glad to see you Bette, I hope we dont lose you again

And you are so cute, Am Dana Fairbanks, this is my wife Alice but you know her already, youll soon meet Carrie our daughter, oh and Shane you have to meet Shane she said pulling a fearful Jessica with her

Whats with the hyper? Bette asked, referring to the Danas behavior

Ahhh beats me, I dont even notice anymore Alice said shrugging Do you want a beer, Tina is outside come on

the first person Bette saw wasnt Tina, it was Shane, in fact they almost bump into each other

I heard a rumor and I came to see if it was true

    In the flesh Alice said

How you doing man? Shane asked

that line was so intrinsically Shane that Bette couldnt help to smile and pulled to her, I have missed you Shane

You have been missed Bette Shane said sniffing a little trying to keep her cool

    We have to talk,

Yeah, but later, if I were you I would go to save my daughter from Dana, she might convince her that a sundress is better than jeans

Oh no, she is tough, but who knows between Katie and Dana they could do some serious damage, I better go" Bette knew it was just an excuse but they both needed it to get it together.

Then she saw her; and indeed distance make the heart grow fonder, because it was a sight to sore eyes, Bette had to wonder, why did she torture herself putting the distance in the first place, there she was, straight hair this time, low cut jeans, blue blouse, loving expression, beautiful baby in her arms, Bette wanted to cry, she never once saw Tina pregnant nor saw her carrying her daughter, she never knew of sleepless nights and sickness scares, she never got the chance to know the loving mother Tina was so ready to be.

Hey come, meet my daughter Alice proudly said pulling her

Hey Tina said lifting head with a smile on her face, Bette took her change, it was time to start taking them.

She moved around and kissed Tina on the cheek, lingering just a little longer and then move away slow enough to exchange a conspirational look and stood pressed to her, admiring the baby making giggling faces, smelling Tinas scent, getting lost in the night and even daring to fantasy. Why not?
