“Do you regret….?”
“Not at all,” Bette instantly interrupted Tina’s thought process. “Last night was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I’ve missed you so much Tina.”
Bette held Tina close to her body, blinking back tears in an effort to hide them from her lover. When Tina pulled back to gaze into Bette’s eyes once more, she was surprised by the scorching kiss Bette offered.
Bette’s lips were insistent, bordering on desperate, as her tongue begged for entrance into Tina’s mouth. Once granted, the kiss quickly escalated. Tina’s hands began to roam Bette’s body, her thumbs rubbing the small patch of skin that was exposed between the hem of Bette’s shirt and the waistband of her jeans.
Tina moved her hands to grasp Bette’s head, she felt Bette’s hands begin to roam her back, clenching almost desperately to her. Tina tilted her head in the other direction to gain more access to Bette’s tongue, rubbing her own frantically over Bette’s.
“Jesus,” Tina broke the kiss to take in a much-needed breath. “If we don’t stop this now I’ll never get to work.”
“Work,” Bette agreed as she brushed Tina’s freshly washed hair to the sides. “The scene is in your briefcase.”
“I’ll call you later Babe,” Tina placed one last gentle kiss on Bette’s lips. “I can’t thank you enough for writing that.”
“Wait to see if you can use it before thanking me.”
Tina’s thoughts were all centered around Bette as she drove to work, another demonstration of how Bette had changed sitting beside her enclosed in her briefcase. Tina was shocked that Bette had stayed up all night, working on something she had expressed complete contempt for when Jenny’s book had been released.
Tina pulled into her parking spot, feeling a sense of dread overcome her, when she realized she had yet to read Bette’s actual thoughts. She knew she had no choice but to press forward and present Bette’s account of what happened, dreading to see how Bette had rewritten a plausible scene.
Tina stepped out of her car and into the studio, immediately colliding with a hurried Leslie.
“Thank God I ran into you,” Leslie beamed with excitement.
“Literally,” Tina picked up her keys that had fallen from her hand when they collided.

Damn, that was rough to read. Very sad. Very emotional. Bette needs to believe in her growth as a person.. hopefully Tina can help her with that part of it. I hope Tina finds her soon.. they need to talk it out.

I had a feeling that this chapter would end in tears. They need to talk and Tina needs to set Bette straight. Gumby get them to talk Bette can’t run.

God, Gumby. Such emotion and heartache. What an amazing way to rewrite that scene. I was wondering how that could be rewritten and am anxious to see if Ilene can handle the task as well as you. Truly brilliant.
WOWWWW!!!!!!! Gumby that was very moving and so painful. No wonder Bette was trying to keep her tears at bay when talking to Tina earlier. Please let Tina find her and let them talk about this once and for all. They desperately love each other but need to get the past out, talk about it and put it away and work on their future. They must do this. Poor Bette, Tina will have to do some tall talking to get Bette to see her point of view. But it is one she needs to hear and understand. You are the best at doing this, get them talking please. PPS

Shit, will these two ever get on the same page? They love each other desperately…why are they so afraid to talk. Gumby you do a great job in your story showing this aspect of their relationship. They are so willing to sacrifice their relationship for the good of the other, yet so unwilling to pur their hearts out to each other. These two are breaking my heart!

Gumby, you posted, woohoo!!! Poor Bette, her imagination is so much worse than reality. If that is the way she thinks Tina felt about everything, the miscarriage, her dad, etc, no wonder she is scared to death. I know Tina will come to the rescue. So Gumby, can you make this a perfect tibette week and post everyday? Just call in sick, I’m sure they’d understand–it is for a good cause :) thanks for the post

Heavy stuff, Gumby. Bette really beats herself up over everything bad in their relationship. Sometimes we treat those we love the most, horribly. You take them for granted because you know they will forgive you. Doesn’t make it right & I think the fact that Bette takes responsibility for treating Tina badly shows how much she has changed. PS.

Bette wrote from the heart and now Tina is bleeding from the heart. Tina is trying desperately to reach the one person who holds the key to her life. I only hope that Tina can reach Bette and make her understand that it was both of them that failed each other. Very powerful chapter as well as emotional.

Hey Gumby, That was truly shocking. Bette peeled away the layers of defenses she has and opened her heart and soul on the pages of this script. The scene hit home as all of Bette’s failings were vocalized and discussed between Bev and Nina. I felt Tina’s concern, understanding and distress at Bette’s confession. Now, the ball is in Tina’s court as she has to show and tell Bette the effect of all these regurgated emotions on Tina’s state of mind and heart. I do think that Tina needs to be face to face with Bette before they continue this discussion. Going through all of this trauma is difficult but so worthwhile as Bette and Tina have realized what they threw away, deal and close the past so that they can build a better future together. Gumby, my screen steamed up at the memory of the night before. Please continue your awesome adventure soon. Much gratitude and appreciation for this intellent and thought-provoking adventure. That tore me up. It is what Bette’s worst nightmare is that Tina blames her for everything and will never truly be able to forgive her. I am glad that Bette is with Kit, but I hope Tina can find her I really think it’s time they talked.

Wow. That was deep. So deep that I could feel the pain. Great writing Gumby! I know I should worry that Bette is cheating yet again, maybe a bit upset with her, maybe feel sorry for Jodi, but what can I say, this is B&T and they are so hot together I can’t help but jump in with both feet into the Tibette ship. Gosh I’m totally loving S5, I think it’s the best season yet. Just hope that after all that happened, when they get back together, Bette will realise where her heart truly lies and no more cheating. But remembering the senator scene in S3 gives me hope that Bette wont cheat on Tina again, no matter how bad things go and how secually deprived she is. Ooops, I’ve gone off topic. Wonderful story Gumby, please write some more and post soon. Cheers!
