Dana opened her eyes at the movement in the bed next to her. To her surprise the sun was shining through the windows and the movement had come from Alice who had just climbed back onto the bed next to her. “Hey, sleepy head.” She said as she watched Dana wake up.
“What time is it?”
“Eleven.” Alice answered as Dana stretched her arms and legs causing the blankets to slide down and expose her nakedness. She blushed and pulled the sheets back over her.
“Why didn’t you wake me?” Alice had rejoined her under the covers and the two of them now laid on their sides facing each other contentedly.
“You never sleep in, I thought you were tired and I would let you sleep.” Alice grinned and leaned in closer to her girlfriend. “I mean after last night who wouldn’t be tired?” She said slyly before leaning in and kissing the other woman. Dana laughed lightly when she pulled away. “What?” Alice asked.
Dana looked at Alice for a moment and knew that she wouldn’t be able to explain what she was feeling. There was no way that she could describe the amount of love that she held for the woman next to her. And seeing her here now was making her want to laugh out loud for no reason at all except that she had never been so happy in her entire life. “Nothing.” Dana said and then, “It’s just you. You’re soamazing. I’m just so happy to be here, with you.” Nope she knew the words had not done her feeling justice.
Alice did a lot of her own smiling and then leaned in to kiss her again. She knew exactly how Dana felt. It had been the same for her when she had woken up that morning. When she had looked over to see that Dana had not left and that she had not been a dream. She had reached out and ran her fingertips over the smooth skin of Dana’s abs just to make sure that she wasn’t a dream before she had pulled the blankets back over her. She knew that Dana hated to wake up uncovered. It was part of her charm Alice had decided when they had started spending the night with each other. They could have the wildest, freakiest, kind of ***** all night long and in the morning she was still Dana Fairbanks, the shy girl who wasn’t quite comfortable being naked in front of someone else. Even if that someone was Alice. Alice smiled into the kiss and deepened it as she pulled the covers over the both of them all over again with no resistance from the tennis player at all

This was a nice surprise to wake up to. Imagine the extra happiness when I looked, and saw the length of your story – especially after you said it was filler. I expected a page at the most. I’m off to read the chapter now.
I missed you around her : ). I couldn’t never resist Danish especially when they’re this sweet with each other. The two things that stood out was:a) Dana little interaction with Shane – that was really kind, and such a wonderful reflection of their friendship. Shane lettting herself be vulnerable is such a delight to read.b) Bette – I’ve always enjoyed the softer side of Bette, humble and more likable. It comes across in your story. I just hope your schedule is flexible enough for you write more ; )
