The Taste of Ink (working title)

Shane watched Jenny go off by herself a little bit leery about leaving her alone with 10 thousand women, but she was never one to crowd anyone so she just shrugged and turned back toward her friends. Shane watched all the women around her and shook her head. She knew that she could have anyone that she wanted, but lately she had found herself becoming more attached than she would have liked to Cherie Jaffe. She had been all that Shane could think about lately, and yet she knew that the whole thing was never going to go anywhere. She had just never had anyone treat her as importantly as Cherie did. It was kind of nice. But then again, she was always so unpredictable. There were times when Shane could look at Cherie and think that she was the woman that Shane could be with forever and then there were times when Shane knew without a doubt that Cherie would never leave Steve. Shane shook her head and decided to excuse herself back to the hotel room so that she could call Cherie before it got too late

Dana rounded the corner still grinning at the run in that she had just had with a few fans, and almost ran over a disappointed looking Shane. “Hey, sorry.” Dana said.

“It’s cool, Dane. What are you grinning about?” Shane asked in amusement at the happy look on her face.

Dana blushed a little and then answered nervously, still grinning, “Some girl just asked me to sign her underwear.” Dana gestured back towards the direction that she had just come from.

Shane laughed. “Way to go Dana!” She said and held up her hand and Dana slapped it as she was congratulated. “Did you do it?”

    “Uhh”

“You know you should have. You probably could have gotten lucky if you had.”

“Shane.” Dana scolded. “I was just going up to change and then I was coming to find you guys. And I think I’m just happy with the fact that someone wanted me to sign their underwear. And I had to get away from that woman that assigned herself to be my bodyguard.”

Shane chuckled. “Ah, so that’s why you didn’t sign the underwear. Maybe you will sign the next pair.” Dana turned bright red and Shane followed Dana back to the hotel room, deciding that she was going to wait for her to get ready and then they could go down and meet everyone together.
