“I’ll go get you girls a coffee…Tina you want to come with me?”
“Um…No, I’ll stay here with Bette..” Tina said squeezing her lovers hand
“No babe..Go with your dad..I’ll be fine here with Kayleigh for a few minutes..”
“Okay sweetie…I won’t be long” Tina replied, she got up and then she paused and leaned over the brunette…She kissed her head saying softly the said “Babe it’s not your fault! -So don’t be blaming yourself…Okay?"
Bette looked up at her girlfriend and smiled a slight faint smile..Her eyes shining with unshed tears..Her face gaunt and tired looking
The blonde smiled back then cupped her woman’s chin softly, she kissed her tenderly then said “I’ll be back soon..I love you so much baby”
After the Kennard’s walked away in search of drinks Kayleigh sat down next to Bette and spoke in a quiet re-assuring tone
“Tina’s right you know…It’s not your fault…I mean I really hope Shane’s okay, I really do…But the only person at fault here is Shane…She should never have hit on Tee..”
“But I had to go in all guns blazing!…What if me knocking her into the cupboards induced the overdose?”
“Don’t be silly Bette!…That was going to happen anyway…In fact you probably saved her life!”
“How do you work that out?” Bette replied
“…If you hadn’t went to her place when you did..Well she’d probably be dead right now..” Kayleigh replied softly as she patted the brunette’s leg in comfort
Bette said nothing…She just processed the redheads comments..They had given her food for thought…
MEANWHILE
“…So now she blames herself..She feels awful…and I can’t get it through her head that it wasn’t her fault…I just hope Shane pulls through this or Bette wont be able to forgive herself..And none of it is her fault…Oh Daddy I so wish that I hadn’t told her!..”
“No Tina..you did the right thing… You should never hid things like that from your partner..She would have found out eventually…I mean Alice isn’t too good at keeping her mouth closed!”
“Alice? What does Alice know?” Tina said puzzled
“Well apparently Shane confessed to her yesterday that she was having…well feelings for you, and Al warned her off”
“Well Al could have gave me the heads up!…Maybe I could have diffused the situation?..”
“I don’t think she had the opportunity to…To be fair to Al, Shane confessed her “love” for you late on, in the club they went to after I left from playing pool with Shane, and the first time she saw you after that was at breakfast…And to be fair when would she have had the chance to tell you with all of us in?”
“Fair one…I suppose, but Daddy I don’t believe Shane loves me…It’s a silly crush…”
“I agree completely…She looks up to you both, aspires to be like you…From what I’ve seen…I think you’re her ideal woman…”
“No way! She doesn’t really want me!”
“Precisely, but she does yearn for a woman with your qualities Tina…Your kind, approachable, calm and I know as your father I shouldn’t say this…But since your Chrissy’s image…I can safely vouch for what woman see in you…You’re a stunning girl..”
“But so is Bette, and she loves Bette..”
“Yeah but her and your wife to-be are such similar creatures…and from what I have heard…Both played around a lot..”
“Hmm…I guess Alice has been filling you in eh?”
“I can’t reveal my sources…”
Tina laughed for the first time in what seemed like ages…and said “Daddy I’m so glad you’re here..It’s great to be able to talk to you about things that are happening in my life…”
“I know honey..Come here…” Chris pulled his daughter into a warm hug…”She’ll be okay darling, I’m sure of it..”

Poor Bette… But it is true.. if she didnt go after Shane, Shane would have definitely died……….

what kayliegh said was the truth… if bette didn’t go there when she did.. i also believe shane would have died by morning… love the father daughter story line too
Love the Dr. Geez that is one of the people I loved on the show If I put down the people I didnt like JODIE,Max. TOM.Lacy,Tonya.Gabby.Winnie. So Dylan is my #1/ Thank goodness Bette has a temper or our Shane would be dead now. Now to get Bette to beliver this. Like the father and Daughter talk.

I think its a blessing in disquise that Bette went in with guns a blazin’! She probably did save Shane’s life…now please may she pull through with no major complications! PPS:)

Always wished I could have had talks like this with my father, that ws wonderful. Now Tina’s biggest hurdle is to get Bette to understand that she actually saved Shane’s life, had she not gone to confront Shane, she wuld have died. Fantastc update. Thankks for posting. Post when you can.

I am sure Shane will survive but with some of symptoms that Dr. Morland explained so she will have to slow her fast life down. Bette needs to for give herself for being angry enough to go and confront Shane because what K said is very true if she hadn’t Shane would have died so Bette saved her life. Tina also needs to stop feeling it wouldn’t have happened if she had kept it from Bette as well if she had Bette would not have found her in time. All things will work themselves out. Shane will have the hardest time forgiving herself but II think the gang will help her with that.
WOW….what a way to take the story…really enjoying it…hopefully this experience will give Shane the wake up call she needed;)
