Tina’s mother chuckled at the memory then continued

“It was so sweet Angie!..Your granddad is just the most amazing man… He is the love of my life…I hope when you grow up you meet a man, or a women who is as wonderful as he is…”

 “Or Woman” this statement from her mother brought a smile to Tina’s face as again it confirmed the fact that her mother was now genuinely at ease with her daughters sexuality.

Mrs Kennard continued to talk to her sleeping granddaughter

“If there is a way I can steer you in the right direction honey rest assured I will…You know something I used to really worry about your mommy, and the life she was living-but not any more! – Your mommy my princess is just as happy with you Mama as I am with her father…I’m not an idiot I can see it.  Angie you my darling are a very lucky girl! – Your going to have a wonderful life I just know it… You are loved so much by both your mommies, I’m so glad I met Bette, and having you all back in my life after all this time is so nice…I think this illness has been a blessing in disguise!..

The couple heard Tina’s mother place another kiss on their daughter then say

“I’m going back to bed now baby..Sleep well Little Angie I love you to the moon and back”

Bette and Tina then heard Mrs Kennard leave their baby’s bedroom, the monitor obviously then went silent

Tina teared up at her mother’s confession to her daughter..what made her cry was her mothers goodnite to her daughter

“Love you to the moon and back”  Tina smiled she could clearly remember her parent bed time ritual…

When Tina was young she had no idea how far away the moon was, but she knew it was very very far away..So when her mother or father said that statement to her she always felt assured of their love, she slept soundly every night secure in the knowledge her parents adored her. She explained the significance of the quote to the brunette then said  

“Bette I feel like I’ve got the mom I grew up with back- before the fight… If you know what I mean?”

Bette smiled then nodded her head in understanding as she replied

“I’m so glad for you baby…I love you”  The mocha opened her arms gesturing for the blonde to come to her and receive a comforting hug

“I love you more..and thank you babe for waking me up I wouldn’t have missed that little speech from mom for the world”  The blonde said as she moved into her lover’s open arms then snuggled into Bette’s body making herself comfortable, her hand splayed across the mocha beauty’s bronzed stomach, where she subconsciously started to draw circles with her soft hands until they both fell asleep until…

TINA!! – TINAAAAAH – COME QUICKLY AND PHONE AN AMBULANCE!!!! Mr Kennard’s frightened voice screamed

Angie’s cries immediately came through the baby monitor…Obviously she had been woken by the loudness of her grandfathers shocked voice

Both women jumped out of bed quickly and ran to Tina’s parent’s bedroom…
